This election could hinge on a lot of issues but maybe reminding women that Republicans don't think they're equal might do it. Innocent people remain in jail Sometimes America can be so fuct Innocent? He's black, so we don't care. Link Terrell McCullum did not commit a federal crime by carrying a shotgun and a rifle out of his ex-girlfriend's house. But he is serving a federal prison sentence for it. And the fact that everyone — including Obama's U.S.Justice Department — agrees that he is legally innocent might not be enough to set him free. A USA TODAY investigation found more than 60 men who went to prison for violating federal gun possession laws, even though courts have since determined that it was not a federal crime for them to have a gun. Many of them don't even know they're innocent. The legal issues underlying their situation are complicated, and are unique to North Carolina. But the bottom line is that each of them went to prison for breaking a law that makes it a federal crime for convicted felons to possess a gun. The problem is that none of them had criminal records serious enough to make them felons under federal law. Still, Obama's Justice Department has not attempted to identify the men, has made no effort to notify them, and, in a few cases in which the men have come forward on their own, has argued in court that they should not be released. I realize Obama is busy, but why are 60 men rotting in jail when EVERYONE agrees they're innocent? Our Pledge of Allegiance says, "with liberty and justice for all." That's a f-ing joke. Maybe it should read, "Liberty and justice for white people with money." Send e-mail to Bart Marty

Doctors with rushing hands This might be a big scandal about to pop Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: your reader J Good Bart, I wonder if J Good has ever noticed what it says at the bottom of the Bartcop page -- > "bartcop.com and BartCop are trademarks of attempts at humor" The ironic sense of humor of the comment "Thanks, they send me pennies..." never fails to get a chuckle, a chortle or a guffaw out of yours truly. Every time I get to that part of the page, I feel that I can empathize with the fact that you put so much out there for the good fight while struggling to put fish on your cats, but you still have a sense of humor about it all. Swing it, Doug PS. "Thanks, they send me railroad cars filled with gold..." Oh, shit, that's even funnier. Despite what I have read from various "pundits" on how sarcasm is considered somehow improper, or inappropriate, or on the low end of the funny spectrum, I myself truly love it. But then, I am just a crass human being. Fuck, Bart, that is really just too fucking funny. J Good is a longtime reader in good standing. Send e-mail to Bart 'Goodfellas' Henry Hill Dies He was an original gangster Link The man immortalized by Martin Scorsese's film "Goodfellas" has died. Henry Hill, a former member of the Lucchese family of mobsters, died Tuesday in a Los Angeles hospital, according to a statement on his website. He was 69. The cause of Hill's death has not yet been released. Yes, it has. He died from complications of lung cancer - he smoked all his life. Funny, he ratted out the mob and they never found a way to kill him. The mob couldn't kill him, but cigarettes did. Between the mob and cigarettes they kill what, 450,000 people a year? Cigarettes are legal but pot is considered a "dangerous" drug - why? Pot never killed anybody, but cigarettes and other tobacco products have killed over eight million Americans since I've been doing bartcop.com but that's OK. You see, God talked to Obama and other leaders in Washington and he told them that the ammonia and formaldahyde that tobacco companies add to their cigarettes to hook their victims stronger and faster is GOOD, but the harmless plant He gave is is BAD. Subject: accuracy Bart, dude, I love your site and start every day with it (that and a good strong cup of black coffee), but seriously, you need to hire a proof-reader: > Way to go, Democrats. > Way to educated the ignorant. C’mon man, really???? withheld Hire a proof-reader? With the money that's no longer coming in? If I had any brains (Should I bother to finish this thought?) I would publish once a week and then I'd have a lot more time to go over the tiniest details. Send e-mail to Bart Sarah Palin Nude Link Subject: Carrie getting Dixie-Chicked

Link Lance Armstrong is facing MORE doping allegations just a few months after he thought he had finally put them to rest. Although federal investigators in February closed a two-year investigation without bringing criminal charges, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has filed new doping charges that could strip the seven-time Tour de France winner of his victories in cycling’s premier race. Have you ever seen such bullshit in your life? Fourteen years after winning his first Tour de France, he could lose that title and all the titles after it because Gus thought he saw a woodchuck. The ONLY fair way to do this is the athlete give urine and blood after the race. The Anti-Doper Handjobs then have 24 HOURS to find something illegal. If they can't find something illegal in 24 hours, he's the winner and that's that. To chase the man down after all these years and say, "You used dope," what's his defense supposed to be? "No, I didn't?" Isn't that like some cop saying, "You were public drunk a week ago." How do you defend such a bullshit charge? Plus, he can't control what happenes to his blood after they take it. How dare they come up YEARS after the fact and say, "We didn't find any dope, but we think we might see something that could be consistent with a masking agent so we're going to take away every award you ever won." What if Gus says he thinks Hank Aaron used steroids? Do we take Hank's home runs away from him? Christ, America can be so stupid. Send e-mail to Bart Photo that's not a Mystery... Every time I log onto Facebook, there are new people wanting to be my "friend" and expressing support, thanks to you. This is gratifying. I'm preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. There are reasons to think I may escape a prison sentence. We'll let you know, and will otherwise keep in touch. Thanks again for all your great work, Tom Obama's Mess: Medical pot in Montana http://www.facebook.com/tom.daubert Send Tom some encouragement Really? You're too busy to click and write, "Hang in there, Tom!" What if YOU were innocent and facing prison? Wouldn't you want others to notice? "I might get 20 years in federal prison because Obama has a problem with the legal pot laws in Montana." Link Send e-mail to Bart Because the Republicans are liars the the Democrats are sheep, Americans would rather pay thousands of dollars (that they don't have) ever year, for health care rather than suffer the scurge of someone using the word "socialist" to describe their multi-thousand dollar medical discount. If you have a heart attack, it will cost you $50K MORE than if you were German and had the same heart attack. If you don't pay that $50K back fast enough, they'll garnish your paycheck take your house and your car and your savings. Sure, you're homeless now, but at least you have the comfort of knowing you're not "socialist." Way to go, democrats. Way to educated the ignorant. The GOP's War on Women The GOP voted down equal pay for women. These cavemen don't think women deserve equality. If *I* ran the GOP, they would pay dearly for that, but I'm pretty sure Obama gave the "No fight" order. We're fighting the anti-progress GOP - can you help?
