  Pure Costumes for Halloween

Yesterday, all our troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Suddenly we have half the lead, not victory
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh, yesterday came suddenly

Why he had to cave I don't know, he didn't say
I watched something wrong Now I long for yesterday

Yesterday politics was such an easy game to play
Now I need a place to hide away and shoot myself in the f-ing head

Oh, I believe in yesterday

Yes, this issue was written with great anger.
I went back and took some of the harshest stuff out, but if you're
not angry today you probably aren't much into politics.

I take that back.
I may need a few more days to calm down before I consider myself "angry."

If you were looking for a reason to withhold that donation,
you'll probably find it today.

Quotes

"Are we going to double-down on the top-down
economic policies that helped get is into this mess?
--  Obama, speaking gobbledegook last night

 No, no, no, no, no.

"Double-down on the top-down?"
Did someone think that sounded too cute to pass up?

I keep telling the White House they need me - because I speak stupid.

Obama might've connected with other Harvard grads last night, but I'd
give him a D- for connecting to the voters he needs to stay in office.

He needs to speak stupid and simple, as in, "Here are your choices.
It's either my second term or Bush's third term."

You see how easy that is?
My IQ of 64 thought of that.

But no, short, simple sentences are beyond the capability of our president
and it could end up costing more than some of us can bear.

Note: Before I lose everyone, there IS good news.
It's NOT the day after the election and we haven't lost anything - yet.

 Silver Lining Award:
If Obama was going to sleep thru a debate,
better this one than the second or the third.

We need the ghost of Angelo Dundee to slap Obama in the face really hard and say,
"You're blowing it kid!  You want to be a fucking bum all your life?"

 Harsh, to be sure.
But it's only Earth's future we're talking about.

Timid Obama Surrenders First Debate
Romney walked on him like Nancy Sinatra

Not a word about immigration.
Not a word about abortion.
Not a word about the 47 percent.
Not a word aboyt "legitimate rape" or ANY women's issues.
Not a word about "vulture capitalism."
Not a word about Romney paying next to no taxes.

It was Romney's dream come true.

Obama knew there was a debate last night, right?

Romney came to fight, Obama wanted to be nice.
Romney lied like crazy, Obama chose not to engage.
Ronmey changed positions a dozen times, while Obama looked
down like a school boy getting the dressing down he deserved.

I've never seen Chris Matthews so angry in my life.
They put him on for 90 seconds or so and he was absolutely livid.

I owned two bars and I know that look when you've been in a bar fight.
Matthews eyes were WILD, my guess is MSNBC told him "Take a few minutes, Chris"
because he's their Wolf Blitzer and they wouldn't let him on the air until an hour later.

What we have to figure out now is how many torpedoes hit us.
Are we sinking or are have we merely sustained severe damage?

This has been Obama race to lose (for me, anyway) going back to mid-summer.
It's possible he's still the front-runner, but I'm too shocked to think straight.

Romney's worst-month-ever might've evaporated in just 90 minutes.

Romney glared in Obama's direction while Obama stared at the ground.
Obama did everything wrong except look at his damn watch.

All we can do now is wait to see how bad the numbers are.
IF Obama lost OH, FL, VA and CO last night, he might not get them back.

CNN's snap poll of "registered Americans" claimed Romney won 69-25.

Remember what I said last issue?

If we list the facts, we win.
You have to get America to buy the lie to win.

 Subject: I don't get it

Bart,

I watched the last few minutes of the debate here in Oz.
It seems to me Obama is making the same mistakes as John Kerry made.

I can only agree with that about 10,000 percent.

All he has to do is point out that Romney's economic principles are the same
as those of George "W" Bush's, which led to an international economic melt down
four years ago.

Debate over.
Why do Democrats not like to engage in serious, meaningful debates based on the FACTS?
  Ron in Australia

Obama's "lofty" rhetroic was spoken at about 60,000 feet last night,
where nobody could see him or hear what the fuck he was saying.

Meanwhile Liar Romney was on the ground where the voters were.

I saw one Tweet: "Who that guy on the stage with Romney?"

That kinda summed it up.

White House Spins Debate

  Link

Amid the widespread judgment by the news media that Romney won, top Obama aides argued
Thurstonr came off as unlikable and failed to offer the policy specifics Americans want.

"The governor had a tough debate, he was testy. He wanted to argue with both the moderator and
the president. I think if you're sitting out there, the American public, is that what you want for the
next four years?" Obama campaign manager Jim Messina told reporters. (Messina used the word
"testy" at least five times in a three-minute scrum within the cavernous media workspace).

And Obama's aides predicted that the rhetorical bout would not win over undecided voters
in battleground states to the Republican's cause.

Akin: Abortions with no Fetus

  Link

Rep. Todd "legitimate rape" Akin gave a speech on the House floor in 2008
in which he called those who perform abortions "terrorists" and claimed some
do so on "women who are not actually pregnant."

"It is no big surprise that we fight the terrorists because they are fundamentally
un-American, and yet we have terrorists in our own culture called abortionists,"
Akin said in 2008.

"Who wants to be at the very bottom of the food chain of medical profession?"
Akin asked himself, not waiting for answer. "And what sort of places do these
bottom-of-the-food-chain doctors work in? Places that are really a pit. You find that
along with the culture of death go all kinds of other law-breaking: not following good
sanitary procedure, giving abortions to women who are not actually pregnant, cheating
on taxes, all these kinds of things, misuse of anesthetics so that people die or almost die."

Really Todd?

OB/GYNs don't follow sanitary proceedures?
OB/GYNs do abortions on non-pregnant women?
OB/GYNs don't pay their taxes?
OB/GYNs misuse anesthetics so that people die?

I'll bet whoever created the phrase: "Objection! Assumes facts not in evidence"
was from Missouri.

Last night, Akin got closer to winning that Missouri senate seat.

Let's hope last night was the last great night Romney has.

Democrats from all over made the case for Obama at the convention.
We have been making phone calls and knocking on doors.
10,000,000 donors by midnight of the last quarter.

We have an effective ad campaign covering the 47% remarks, Bain Capital,
Flipper’s bank accounts, not releasing the tax returns, outsourcing jobs,
women’s rights, green jobs, the Dream Act, veterans benefits.

Am I missing something or were none of the above at that debate last night?

And they can defund PBS after that poor showing of a moderator.
He looked more like a slave than a leader.
  Larry B

 Subject: debate rages

Hi again Bart....Even if he had said...."I saw on my drive here, crane operators,
working way up there.....with heavy, dangerous, steel beams that had to be placed
hundreds of feet below them in precise locations. They are good, well trained union
talent that makes maybe $60-80/hr and pays 32% of his income in taxes, while you
pay only 13.9%, how do you intend to address that , Governor.....And will your 20%
tax cut for the wealthy require the elimination of the mortgage interest deduction
enjoyed by middle class familys?

Good God, Bart...so many targets, so much ammunition....so little will.
Tim Russert, or Luke, for that matter, would have been a better moderator.
 Randy/Vashona

 Subject: debate rages

Yo Bart,
I can feel your pain from here in Colorado.  (Much rage deleted)
I will fight for this guy (Obama) but dammit, he's also got to fight for me and US as Democrats!!
We contribute to this guy's campaign, we argue with the right wing nuts in the world for him,
we fight for him in every way... - and THIS is what we are selling!!!?

Barack, my man, GIVE US SOMETHING TO SELL and SUPPORT!!!
Romney is a scumbag who is going to tear this country apart with and for
his rich buddies - BARACK!  FIGHT FOR US!!
Matt in the embarrassed state of Colorado.

 Subject: debate rages

Romney took Obama to the wood shed with lies and deception just like the majority
of the Republicans did over the last 4  years.

The man does not know how to defend himself when under attack. Throughout his term he's
caved in on every single issue giving up ground without a single hint of an aggressive response to win.
I'm afraid if he get's re-elected we will have the same Obama that we've had in the last 4 years.

I've had Republican friends tell me Obama has done nothing even knowing the Republican Congress
vetoed every bill that would favor Obama.  The argument is "he should have done something"...
I'm tending to agree. The man is a typical wimpy Democrat.

After the debacle of last night I hope his staff will light a fire under his ass
because one more debate loss and he'll be a one term president.

The thought of Romney choosing the next 4 Supreme Court Justices scares the shit out of me.
If and when that day happens, the Right Wing will rule the world.
 Luigi S

Luigi, (and you others who wrote) thanks.
When I read that about the 4 SC judges I got dizzy.

Let's hope Obama was just drawing Romney in, setting him up for the big haymaker.

We can hope...

LA Repeals Ban on Pot Shops
The people have spoken - get over it

 Link

The LA City Council voted to rescind a ban on medical marijuana shops on Tuesday,
allowing the city to avoid a referendum next year that some officials said would likely
succeed in reversing the prohibition.

The council, in a blow to an industry that operates in violation of President Obama's
drug paranoia, voted in July to ban pot dispensaries and replace them with a system
that would allow up to three patients to collectively grow marijuana.

But medical marijuana advocates collected in August the necessary 27,000 signatures to put
the decision to a March 2013 referendum. Under city rules, that number - 10 percent of the
total number of votes cast in the city's last mayoral election - put the ban on hold until the vote.

The backtracking comes a week after Obama moved to close about 70 dispensaries to crack
down on the operations through the use of asset-forfeiture lawsuits and warning letters.

Why can't Obama worry about real problems instead of cancer patients getting their medicine?

Why can't the man just chill?

Top Democrat Rhetorician Takes Apart Major GOP Lie

In honor of the Presidential Debates this month–and specific to the economic debate finished
Wednesday night–A+B is proud to feature a polemic from John-Paul Bernbach’s new book,
Pack of Lies: Debunking the 40 Most Destructive Conservative Myths in America.

This chapter (as with all 39 other chapters), effectively focuses on one Conservative argument
– in this case that “The GOP is the party of Fiscal Responsibility”–deconstructs it, and debunks it.
A valuable tool for any person, activist or casual watcher, wanting to get involved in the public debate.

Kidman refuses to say "N-word"

 Link

Nicole Kidman went outside of her comfort zone to play a sexy role in The Paperboy,
but there was one thing she wasn't willing to do.

"I asked her to use the 'N' word," said director Lee Daniels. "I could feel the racial tension
there in the town. She said, 'I won't do it.' I told my producer, 'She won't do it!'
Then he mapped it out -- 'Lee, day one she is on a washing machine, day two she is
urinating on Zac Efron, day three she's having telepathic sex . . . I think you can forgive her."

Really?

Nicole Kidman is 45.
She's OK with dropping her panties before the camera.
She's OK with having sex (probably simulated) for the camera.
She's OK
with urinating on Zac Efron (Euwww) on camera but no "N-word?"

She and I are two different people - but you knew that.

Rahm Emanuel marches on violence
This is what regular people hate about liberals

  Link

Mayor Rahm Emanuel took part in a march against violence Wednesday.
They started off at Schubert Elementary on the Northwest side.  More than 400
people have been murdered in Chicago so far this year.  That's 25% more than in
all of last year. Chicago leads the Unoited States in murders and gangland violence.

So what does Rahm do?
He marches in the street like some damn high school girl.
Yep, nothing make a murderous gang quake in fear like a fucking parade.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH LIBERALS?

Rahm needs to call out the goddamn National Guard and he needs to do it
the day after he takes office which was in May of 2011.

But no - 18 months after taking office, Rahm is marching in the damn streets.
What is that supposed to accomplish?
Who do liberals engage in politicide like this so regularly?

What is he waiting for?
Is he trying to save money with the highest murder rate in America?
Is he waiting until TEN people are dying per day, instead of just more-than ONE?

I would have a map drawn up of the highest murder areas  and I would go
crazy-overkill with National Guard - maybe 5,000 troops or so.

Treat if like it was Kabul and lock the entire mother-effer down.
Show the murderous punks who;s the boss. Show the bastrds that you mean business,
but sometimes I wonder if there are any men left in the Democratic Party.

Let the punks know if ONE NG gets shot, you're going to empty every slum in Chicago
and search every home and apartment in the murder area  and confiscate thousands of guns.
And if some liberal judge says Rahm made the wrong move, he says, "My bad" and he wins
re-election by forty points because nobody can run against the guy who cleaned up Murder City.

But no, Rahm's out there marching like a drunken tool on fucking Saint Patrick's Day.

Hey Rahm, if marching doesn't stop the gangland violence, what's next?

You gonna sing a song a teach them a lesson that way?

And when that fails, what's next?  Prayer?

Stopping this 18 months ago is so obvious, so, of course, nobody thought of it.

Why can't anyone in Chicago see what Idiotboy can see from Tulsa?
Am I the last Democrat left with half-a-brain and half-a-sac?

Claimer: I always liked Rahm - thought he had balls.

Maybe I was wrong.

Racism explodes at Univ of Tejas
Pretty sure they'll blame this on Obama...

  Link

The University of Texas in Austin is reeling from reports of black and Asian students
seemingly being targeted and hit with bleach-filled balloons while off campus.

Dozens of students, alumni and faculty protested the attacks on campus Tuesday,
after four students filed reports with the UT police cops saying they had been targeted.

The incidents occurred from June through September, but students only came forward
to report the attacks after being contacted by the UT police chief, Posey said.

"We had heard the rumors, but no one had ever filed a report," Posey said. "Our chief of
police did his own research and heard about a couple of people who were hit by balloons.

"Chief Dahlstrom reached out to the kids and said to them, 'Why have you not filed a report?'
So [on Monday] four people came forward and filed reports."

"It's very frustrating to know that it's 2012 and that stuff like this still happens," said one UT student.

Actually, it's the most logical and forseeable thing ever.
Racist Tejans raise their kids with their own prejudices.

And they didn't reach out because they assume the cops were racist, too.

Duh!
You really needed me to point out the obvious?
Tejas is as racist as Oklahoma - maybe more so.

We have two racist fucks running against our Black president.
They've told us he's not "a real American" like white presidents were.

Who's surprised here?

You should be registering SHAME, not shock.

What they are saying

CNN’s David Gergen: “Romney was just sort of flat out lying.”

Los Angeles Times: “The Romney campaign has refused to say which loopholes it would close, and Romney did not clear up the question Wednesday.”

Bloomberg News
: "Romney's tax plan can't add up."

CNBC Fact Check: “Romney again tonight did not say specifically how he would pay for his proposed across the board tax cut.”

The Washington Post: "Mitt Romney needs to spend a little more time with his budget reports."

Los Angeles Times
: "Fact check: Romney repeats erroneous claims on healthcare"

The facts aren't relevant in this case.
America saw Romney debate a "mild-mannered" fella.

Does it matter if the
mild-mannered fella won on points?

Doctor Stuff

I've been to the doctors three times in seven days.
First time, they got blood and chest x-rays.

Second time, Doc said, "Your x-rays were inconclusive.  We need so see
what's going on in there so you'll
need a Cat Scan. Let's set that up
with the girls in the office,"
so we went there.

The office lady said she'd have to get prior authorization from my insurance company.
Once we got that, she said, they'd call me with a date.

So I got to thinking: If I didn't have insurance, I assume they would've been forced to say,
"Good luck, Bart!" because C-T scans cost money - up to $1,000.

If I had no insurance, I assume Romney would have me get worse and worse until I finally
collapsed on the street - THEN I'd get a trip to the ER. I felt reeeeeeeeeeal lucky that Mrs. Bart
has been able to hold onto her job (and her health insurance) during Bush's recession.

Obama wanted to fix that problem for everyone.
Romney says "That's taking away our freedom and I'm for freedom!"

Ronney wants me to have the freedom to not get that free CT scan.

Chris Brown, Rihanna caught Necking

 Link

Just one week after woman-beater Chris Brown was seen necking with Nicole Scherzinger,
he got hot and heavy with his former victim Rihanna while partying at NYC hot spot Griffin.

Ordinarily this would be nobody's business, but it's my prediction that Chris Brown
will eventually murder Rihanna with his fists (because he loves her "too much").

So, Rihanna is beyond help, but what about young, impressionable women out there?

I'll bet there are at least twenty beautiful young Black singers in NY and LA who are being
beaten regularly by their violent, scumbag boyfriends, but they see themslves as "aspiring
Rihannas" and they'll willing to follow her same path of it means a shot at stardom.

All we can do is wait for it to happen - sad.

Computer Tyme Hosting is owned by Marc Perkel, who first put Bartcop on the Internet back in 1996 and keeps Bartcop online today.

Marc hosts several other political sites including American Politics Journal, Political Strikes, Faux News Channel, Seeds of Doubt and interesting sites like the
Church of Reality - a religion based on believing in everything that is real.

Our motto for this year is - "No Anti-Bush Site Left Behind". So - if you have an anti-bush site and you are  choking on hosting fees or dealing with threats - let us know and we'll help keep you online.

We also have that strongest server side spam filtering on the planet.
Check out Marx Mail for info on how you can have a Spam Free Email Account.
