Texas leads the nation in failing to provide health insurance. About one in four Texans are uninsured,
the highest percentage in any state. That’s some 6 million people, the total population of Missouri.

Yet Rick Perry, back from his stumbles in the 2012 race, has insisted that Texas will not accept the
federal money provided by Obamacarecare. As Republican governors from Arizona to New Jersey
have joined the program, Perry has amplified his opposition. In a bristling speech to conservatives
last week, he said governors who accepted the money had “folded in the face of federal bribery.”

Rick perry doesn't care how many Texans die from a lack of heath care.

It took 50 years for American attitudes about marijuana to zigzag from "Reefer Madness" to Woodstock
back to the hard line of "Just Say No." Now, in just a few short years, public opinion has moved so
dramatically toward general acceptance that even those who champion legalization are surprised at how
quickly attitudes are changing and states are moving to approve the drug — for medical use and just for fun.

It is a moment in America that is rife with contradictions:
—People are looking more kindly on marijuana even as science reveals more about the drug's potential dangers,
particularly for young people.

Horseshit - nobody said kids should smoke, but street dealers are criminals, so they sell to kids.
Sell it in drugstores and check IDs - problem solved. Don't manufacture a crsis when there isn't one.

—States are giving the green light to the drug in direct defiance of Obama's endless dithering.

—Exploration of the potential medical benefit is limited by high federal hurdles to research.

New Vatican Corruption Scandal

A Vatican official was arrested Friday by Italian police for trying to bring 20 million euros ($26 million)
in cash into the country from Switzerland aboard an Italian government plane, his lawyer said.

Monsignor Nunzio Scarano, already under investigation in a purported money-laundering plot involving
the Vatican bank, is accused of fraud, corruption and slander stemming from the plot, which never got
off the ground, attorney Silverio Sica told The Whore AP.

It was the latest financial scandal to hit the Vatican and came just two days after Pope Francis created
a commission of inquiry into the Vatican bank to get to the bottom of the problems that have plagued it
for decades and contributed to damaging the Vatican's reputation.

Gee, who would've thought this worldwide rape organization would be money smugglers, too?

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee released more than six thousand documents Monday, part of a deal
with lawyers representing 570 people who have lawsuits pending against the Catholic rapists there.

Dolan was appointed by the Vatican to clean up the Archdiocese in 2002, (Sure, he was!) after the Church’s
sexual abuse crisis among the clergy exploded in the United States, and then, around all the world.

One of the documents was a letter written by then-Archbishop Dolan to the Vatican in 2007,
seeking permission to transfer money from a cemetery fund into a trust. Dolan wrote,
“By transferring these assets to the trust, I foresee an improved protection of these funds
from any legal claim and liability.” The Vatican approved the transfer, during a time when
hundreds of lawsuits were being filed against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

OF COURSE the Vatican approved the money-smuggling.
That means they can pay off another 1,000 or so child rape victims.

chances are that the disks have been cloned, with or without Snowden's permission or knowledge.
Even friendly countries will do this with media brought into the country.

Considering his level of clearance, he was undoubtedly briefed on this at some point during his employment.
If he took the machines into a foreign country, he provided an opportunity for the compromise of sensitive material.
Even if he selectively leaked only documents exposing bad behavior on the part of the administration,
the remaining data on the disks could prove incredibly damaging.

I don't mean to pick on Snowden's Dad, who's surely going thru hell watching
his son attack the United States, but that photo is about as sincere as this one.

The father of Edward Snowden is laying out arrangements that he believes
would convince his son to give himself up.

Lonnie Snowden had his lawyer draft a letter which requested that Snowden (1) remain free prior
to his trial, (2) not have a gag order placed on him, and (3) to be tried in the place of his own choosing.

The letter says that if any of these demands are broken, the prosecution against Snowden would be dropped.

Yeah, that's going to happen - expecially after all the harm's been done. Edwards wants to
be free to go on Left-wing talk shows and trash Obama and taint the jury before his trial.

But I kinda agree with number three.

No, Snowden can't tour the country and then demand that he be tried in the city where he got the
most applause BUT I can see why he doesn't want to be tried in Fairfax Virginia, where (according
to Julian Assange) 99% of all suspects are indicted AND 99 percent of the indicted are found guilty.

I remember Virginia's "Rocket Docket" from the Susan McDougal/Julie Steele days.

ESPN's Jeremy Schaap was providing analysis of the Aaron Hernandez murder charges
live as Hernandez was being transported to jail when he mistakenly talked about the
evidence that might be "implicating Aaron Rodgers."

And it probably would have passed with a double take and a chuckle,
but Rodgers followed that with a simple tweet.
