PO Box 54466 Tulsa, OK 74155 More hotties at http://www.puresexycostumes.com Quotes "When we ended the prohibition of alcohol, Al Capone was out of work the next day Our drug policy is really anti-public safety and pro-cartel and pro-street gang because it keeps them in business." -- Stephen Downing, Los Angeles' former Deputy Chief of Police Link Send e-mail to Bart Backlash Coming for Racist GOP? Link Several Republican-led states have already rushed to capitalize on the Supreme Court's recent rejection of the Voting Rights Act, but some say the price for threatening MLK's dream could be a nightmare for the GOP. Indeed, the high court could hardly have picked a more historically fraught moment to roll back a major civil rights law -- just two months before the 50th anniversary of the King's March on Washington. It was a watershed moment -- a moment when hundreds of thousands of Americans turned out to hear King's historic "I Have a Dream" speech and to show a strength of numbers that helped propel the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Fifty years later, with the racist Supreme Court having stricken the Voting Rights Act, North Carolina, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama are already moving ahead to enact new ballot restrictions. Suddenly, the next march on Washington, set for Aug. 24, 2013, promised to be less a stroll down memory lane and more the writing of a new chapter of history. The GOP's dilemma remains: They can't win unless they move to the Left and they're not moving so they're not winning. Advertise on bartcop.com Subject: getting Snowden bart Not sure how I really feel about the Snowden thing. I am a little bit in between Perkel and you. I do agree that this was information that the American people needed to hear. Problem is that they will forget it and go back to their TV’s and Xboxes real soon. How do I know? I know because this has been something that has been “leaked” before. If you didn’t know the government was spying on you then you are woefully uninformed. I see two problems. One is the fact that non-government people have this kind of security information at their finger tips. I blame the Republicans for this. When you cut the budgets of the agencies that should be doing this work and give that money to the Halliburtons of the world. This is what you get. We didn’t learn anything from outsourcing our Military. So now we have to live with this debacle. The second thing and most troubling to me is the way our President has finally got some balls. Five years of being bullied and pissed on by the Congress and now, now he shows some backbone. He is taking out his emasculation by the Congress on every other country. He looks like an idiot. Telling other countries what the can and can’t do about asylum. If he had acted this way from the beginning we may have had single payer Health Care or Medicare for all. This is why he has been so disappointing. edfromcolumbia If you think he's disappointing now, wait till he starts jailing Colorado pot smokers on Nov 6. Send e-mail to Bart Shop

Has Snowden Fooled Everybody? Link He was gung-ho for it when Bush was president. Which brings up an interesting point: his opinion of such programs abruptly changed when Barack Obama took office. In the chat room, Snowden felt free to speak his mind ... Snowden revealed that he was a Ron Paul supporter and championed a return to the gold standard along with short selling stocks. Social issues also reveal a Libertarian bent when it came to personal freedoms. His disdain of Obama and his policies was apparent and he bitched about them with “increasing frequency.” But there are two issues where, I believe, where Snowden’s true colors shine very clearly. This is one: SNOWDEN: save money? cut this social security bullshit SNOWDEN: Somehow, our society managed to make it hundreds of years without social security just fine SNOWDEN: Magically the world changed after the new deal, and old people became made of glass SNOWDEN: they wouldn’t be fucking helpless if you weren’t sending them fucking checks to sit on their ass and lay in hospitals all day Subject: wrong about Snowden Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: you can't win Bart, you can't win. Lefties are showing themselves to be as intolerable as the righties when it comes to Snowden. They've got their ideological hero and they will defend him until their Carpal Tunnel syndrome sets in. Note the irony: they hate the system so much but can't live without an Internet connection. Ari Send e-mail to Barta Cops want to Legalize Pot Obama wants to block America's progress Link While marijuana is a relatively harmless drug, the black market associated with it can cause significant harm. Much like the prohibition of alcohol, marijuana's illegality does not erase the profit incentive – instead, it establishes a risky, unregulated market in which violence and intimidation are used to settle disputes. In the past decade, police made more than 6 million marijuana possession arrests. In 2010, states spent $3.6 billion enforcing the war on pot, with blacks nearly four times as likely as whites to be arrested. That's a lot of police time and resources wasted, says former Seattle Chief of Police Norm Stamper, who had an "aha moment" while working for the San Diego Police Department in the late 1960s. "I had arrested a 19-year-old in his parents' home for the possession of a very small quantity of marijuana," recalls Stamper. While driving the prisoner to jail, he says, "I realized, mainly, that I could have been doing real police work, but instead I'm going to be out of service for several hours impounding the weed, impounding him, and writing arrest, impound, and narcotics reports. I was away from the people I had been hired to serve and in no position to stop a reckless drunk driver swerving all over the road, or to respond to a burglary in progress, or intervene in domestic violence situation." In 120 days, pot will be legal in Colorado. How will President Reefer Madness respond? Will he go with science and logic (not to mention the will of the voters) or become George Wallace and stand in the door to block the progress the people want? Send e-mail to Bart Perry to Run for White House? Says no to another term in Austin "Where's the nearest school?" Link Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R-Moron) said today that he won't run for re-election next year for an unprecedented fourth full term in office. "The time has come to pass on the mantle of leadership," said Perry, remembering his lines this time. The announcement by the mental caveman opens the door to speculation that he will make another failed bid for the White House in 2016 inder the "Nuttier than You" banner.. Trayvon Trial Rages On Those defense lawyers are some skilled bastards. They taken the bigger, racist older guy with martial arts training and the loaded gun and made him the "Please, please, can't somebody help me!" VICTIM in this case. Then they took the smaller kid who was armed only with f-ing Skittles and made him the violent, druggie AGGRESSOR with all that pent-up rage for the White Devil. ...will the all-white jury agree? Send e-mail to Bart MSNBC Distorts Zimmerman Case by Gene Lyons Link A Seattle criminal defense attorney opined that the only reason George Zimmerman hadn’t been forced to plead guilty was that “the police did not do a proper investigation, and handled the case poorly (seriously, Martin is found with a cellphone on him, and they decide they can’t ID him and let his body sit in the morgue for a week?? That alone is unbelievable)…I find it appalling that a small-town police agency thought they themselves could make a legal finding that a homicide was justified.” Unbelievable indeed. Also categorically false, although MSNBC reported it many times. According to the case file released last May 18, Sanford, FL police notified Trayvon’s father of his death early the next morning. MSNBC personalities Al Sharpton, Melissa Harris-Perry, Lawrence O’Donnell and others also repeatedly alleged that indifferent local cops let George Zimmerman take his gun home, and failed to collect his clothing for forensic examination—also untrue. Indeed, the detective who handled the initial investigation recommended filing manslaughter charges March 13, 2012. Send e-mail to Bart . Send e-mail to Bart Subject: I had a dream Last night I dreamt that was living in a parallel universe. But there were a few things out of phase. George W. Bush didn’t run for president until 2008, and he defeated Senator Obama. Bush had an eavesdropping program, much like Obama. But this time, it was the New York Times, not the Washington Post who had the story. Except they sat on it for a year. There was a blogger named Funnyboy, much like you, very wise. But unlike Bartcop, he was against this. When Bush said that this was "consistent with U.S. law and the Constitution.", this blogger said: “Horseshit! If it's legal, why did you keep it a secret? “ The blogger noted that this type of abuse of power was bad when an honest and wise man had unstoppable power, but worse when a crook had it. According to Funnyboy, if Ashcroft or Holder said you were a criminal, you were one. This blogger read the NSA webpage and remarked that it explained why the Constitution has been overturned. When Senator Obama complained it was illegal, this blogger noticed that “Obama is a constitutional lawyer, he knows they are illegal”. When asked who has oversight, Bush said “They are the Congress, the courts and, ultimately, the American people". To that, this blogger sniffed that the opposition party didn’t have the stones to impeach. Crazy man, this Funnyboy.
