On Wednesday afternoon, Boner called all House GOP lawmakers to a private meeting. Inside the meeting,
Boner urged fellow Republicans to join him in supporting the Senate deal and told them that they would
“live to fight another day.” Before he spoke, his colleagues gave him a standing ovation.

At least Boner kept his cushy, crooked job, and that's all that mattered to him.

Most experts agree that there were no real winners in the GOP shutdown. And most pundits say the
brunt of fallout from the debate over the shutdown and the debt ceiling hurt the evil Republicans.
However, Mitch the Bitch McConnell came out of the deal far from empty handed. He included
language in the new funding bill that includes nearly $3 billion for a dam project in Kentucky.
The funding bill includes $2.918 billion in funding to the Army Corps of Engineers to install locks
as part of the and Lock Authority Project on the Ohio River.
The Olmsted Dam project has run millions over budget and should have been completed “years ago.”
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers estimates that the project will not be fully complete until 2024.
McConnell’s spokesman dodged a question about the funding provision when asked.

In 2000, both Bush & Cheney were both living in Texas, which meant
they could NOT constitutionally run together on the GOP ticket.
But the Democrats were too shy to mention that, so the crooks got away with it.
Cheney slithered off to Wyoming and got a PO Box, thereby making him a Wyominger.
Criminals are only stopped if someone says, "Hey, you can't do that,"

NCIS Tackles Women in Afghanistan
TV's biggest show puts spotlight to good use

Last Tuesday's “NCIS” was titled “Anonymous Was a Woman.”
In that episode, someone has stolen the identification of a deceased female soldier,
and that person happens to show up dead. The team is trying to determine who
murdered the impersonator, and there's a lot to unravel in this one. The search led
to Afghanistan, where McGee and Gibbs will find themselves at an Afghan women's
shelter. As it happens, it's a shelter that Mike Franks spent years secretly supporting.
In that episode, women who dared to rise above "slave" status were tracked down
and murdered, sometimes with acid to the face, which can cause cardiac arrest.
When we pull out of there, the lucky women will be the ones who are murdered.
The unlucky ones will have acid thrown in their faces and they will be killed.
I renew my call for the US military to offer every women in Afghanistan
safe passage to America and a jobs training program to help them assimilate.
The crazy Republican cave dwellers think women are their slaves so let's TAKE them.
Let the women-hating conservatives screw goats for the rest of their lives.

Subject: We're all still hostages
Although Congress kicked the can down the road another 90 days Congress is still
holding Americans hostage. The only difference is that they stopped torturing the
hostages for a while, but they are still holding a gun to our head threatening to destroy
America if they don't get what they want. This has to be eliminated.
Here in California when the legislature is late on passing a budget they don't get paid,
and they don't get back pay when they finally get their job done. And it works.
No state IOUs to pay our bills anymore. It works here and it can work in Congress too.
We pay members of Congress $174,000 a year and for that we expect them to do their job.
If they don't do their job they shouldn't get paid. So we should demand they pass a law that
in the event of a government shutdown that Congress doesn't get paid. We have to make sure
that they suffer during a shutdown and it's not just The People suffering. It's time we demanded
no pay during a shutdown and make them pass it. Let them be the hostages for not doing their job.

Under the Wshington state rules, the board will issue licenses for up to 334 marijuana stores,
with 21 of them in Seattle — a figure some have questioned as too low, considering the city
estimates about 200 medical marijuana dispensaries are operating there. The City Council has
passed zoning regulations for pot businesses that would require medical marijuana dispensaries
to obtain a state license or stop doing business by 2015.
The rules limit the number of licenses that anyone can hold to three — an attempt by the board
to stamp out any dreams of marijuana monopolies before they start. They also prohibit out-of-state
investment in pot businesses and require quality-control testing of marijuana by third-party labs.
Pot must be tracked from seed to sale, and packages must carry warnings about the potential dangers of pot use.
Hilary Bricken, a Seattle lawyer who is advising businesses that hope to obtain marijuana licenses,
said her clients largely are content with the regulations, though some are disappointed by the
three-license max and the ban on out-of-state money.

Yippee. It's over. Finally. We won't default on our debt and the government
should be open for business by tomorrow morning.
And what was it all for? What did the Tea Party zealots get in return? As far as I can tell,
"Obamacare" emerges intact and spending remains as it would've been if none of this occurred.
It's pretty much status quo, business as usual. On the surface, the Tea Party got nothing, but in
actuality what they got was unprecedented media attention, the likes of which is worth many
millions of dollars. Through Sen. Cruz, they held the country hostage, shutting down the
government and risking national default, all so that they could garner some free publicity.
Like cheap, two-bit shysters. These are U-S-A patriots? This is country first??

Think of the hilarious
episode of
The Royal Nonesuch, a mangled Shakespearean farce
performed by a pair of riverboat scamps called the King and the Duke
for the befuddled
citizens of a Mississippi river town.

“What they wanted was low comedy—and maybe something ruther worse than
low comedy, he reckoned.”
And low comedy they got. The plan was to pocket the cash and float off
downriver before the yokels got wise.
I thought of that scene watching Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin outside the
White House recently,
protesting the very government shutdown they’d fiercely championed—a
confederate battle flag
fluttering in the background, the emblem of disgruntled losers
everywhere.
Meanwhile, the Texas Senator and his
allies continue to bombard the faithful with emails promising
imminent victory and soliciting cash. They’re like the most shameless
televangelist faith healers.
Except now the enemies list doesn’t feature only Democrats like Obama,
Pelosi and Reid,
but prominent Republicans such as Paul Ryan, McCain, McConnell and
fabulous Lindsey Graham.
The civil war continues.

will be primaried for their "crimes" during the shutdown?
