"I cannot even stand to look at you." -- Boner to Obama during the standoff, according to Sen Dick Durbin Link Send e-mail to Bart Cruz Lied about His Health Plan He's on wife's Goldman Sach's plan, said he wasn't Link The wife of Ted Cruz confirmed that he gets health care through her Goldman Sach's plan. "Ted is on my health care plan," Heidi Nelson Cruz, a director for the Goldman Sachs money-laundering cartel. A Cruz spokeswoman confirmed the coverage was worth at least $20,000 a year. Sen. Dick Durbin tried to get that info out of lying Cruz during his 21-hour grandstanding speech in September. When Durbin asked him to explain his coverage, the Texas senator's flat-out lied. “I’m happy to tell you now I am not currently covered under it,” Cruz lied, as quoted by the Huffington Post. Gee, Cruz might lose some credibility if our whore press would cover a giant lie like that, but they're to busy "investigating" the "debacle" of the A.C.A. web site Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Spying, release of war crimes videos, etc. Disagree. Jer Jer, I was hoping for more than that. You think EVERY American secret should be exposed? Wouldn't it follow, then, that EVERY Jer secret should be exposed? Send e-mail to Bart A: Because He's Black, That's Why Q: Why do Teabaggers hate their President? Link The examples are plentiful: Rep. Joe Wilson shouting "You Lie!" to Obama. Rep. Ted Yoho (FL) responding with "I'm not gonna comment" when asked if Obama's a "born American." Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) saying he doesn't want to be associated with Obama because "it's like touching a tar baby." Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI) telling supporters "I stood 12 feet away from the guy, and couldn't stand being there." Or Sen. Dick Durbin recalling how Boner told the president "I can't even stand to look at you." And then there was Newt Gingrich's bizarre statement that we can only begin to comprehend Obama's actions if we understand "Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior." Do I even need to bring up Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Trump, Rush Pigboy and other Republican leaders? What does all this point to? A visceral hatred of Obama because he's black. Anyone who refutes this charge is either a racist themselves, monumentally naive, in supreme denial or all of the above. The Tea Party, and even many "mainstream" Republicans I'm sure, are sickened by the fact that a black man lives in the White House. With his black wife. And black children. These are bigoted people who grew up in an America where the only black people walking around the White House were servants. They're disgusted, angry, resentful and frustrated that a black man is the most powerful person in the world; a job that's been reserved for whites since the birth of America. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Bishop of Bling (yesterday's crooked priest) I heard on the BBC news this morning that everyone in Germany pays a church tax which goes primarily to the RCC. If true, that makes the actions of this particular Bishop even more heinous. It’s one thing to rip of the sheeple in your own flock of believers, but ripping off an entire nation of believers, non-believers. Atheists, agnostics, etc., takes a special level of chutzpah. David in Truckee, CA "He means 'hootspah!" Send e-mail to Bart GOP Harms More than ACA Site The Rude Pundit's not in the Mood Link Let us stop talking about the goddamned healthcare.gov website for two seconds here. Yeah, yeah, it's a programming clusterfuck of Windows Vista proportions, although Republicans bear a great deal of blame here for trying to undermine it every step of the way because they're sore loser motherfuckers whose ideological narcissism would make them suck their own dicks if they could contort themselves enough. But, no, no, let's not talk about the website for a moment. That's easy to grapple with. It's a big problem with a small cause. Instead, let's turn to the real Obamacare crisis caused by Republican governors around the nation. See, one of the underreported stories is that the main reason the Affordable Care Act will fail to cover millions of Americans is because states run by the aforementioned cocksuckers refuse to accept the 3 years of 100% funding for expanded Medicaid for people who are dirt poor, but not dirt poor enough for Medicaid in its current form and who can't afford insurance because they don't qualify for the tax credits that offset the price. For 25 states (it used to be 26, but Ohio got infected by sanity recently), this action alone will ensure that a large number of their uninsured citizens remain uninsured, thus potentially costing the states far, far more than accepting the funding, even in the long term, would have Yep, nobody tells it quite like the Rude Pundit. I see where congress is holding hearings on the ACA web site "debacle." How many hearings did they hold on Bush's lies that killed 5,000 soldiers? "Not enough!" Send e-mail to Bart You know they did that to humiliate the president, so they could say, "30 minutes, no answer." then "One hour, no answer" then "90 minutyes no answer," etc. but they accidentally got thru right away - Oh No!

How Lucky is Obama? CNN, expecially, seems to be on a Jihad against the Obamacare website. It's like, "The GOP just took a severe hit, so Obama should take one, now!" To them, the web site problems are LOTS bigger than the lies Bush/Cheney told us to steal Saddam's oil. But think how lucky Obama is: Had the Cruz crazies just gone about their business and NOT shut down the government the ONLY story the news whores would be into today is the Obamacare web site failures. Because the Cruz crazies DID screw up that badly, the GOP is down to the mid-twenties in approval. It could be the Democrats sinking deep in the polls but Ted Cruz saw to it that it was the Republicans, instead. Thanks, Ted. Send e-mail to Bart

Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: I'm crazy I do see the potential harm of leaks of sensitive information - but why isn't the root of the problem being discussed? Shouldn't the US be working with our allies on information gathering? It never ends well when secrets are kept from friends. If the information comes out now or at a later date it still hurts diplomacy. I don't think there is an answer to this that will make everyone happy. It's a big fucking mess but perpetuating the secrets is not the answer. I'm embarrased and sad about what my country does in my name - think torture and rendition programs begun in the Bush regime - as well as what is going on today. Elllen This will make the Left angry, but I have no problem with the US spying on other countries. Like it or not, we are the world's policeman. We are the world's parents. Should we be snooping in our daughter's bedroom, looking for cocaine and condoms? Maybe - our lives will be much smoother if we see the problem sooner rather than later. What about spying on Mexico, for example? It's just a matter of time before the Los Zetas take over the Mexican government. Should we wait to hear about that coup on the news? And when shit like Syria explodes EVERYONE wants to know what WE are going to do about it. So in those kinds of situations, maybe a little spying could save American lives. I know, I know, ...only Bartcop and Dick Cheney would think that way. Send e-mail to Bart A
new book about those notorious American resisters and truth-tellers,
Dr. James Fetzer and Dr. Kevin Barrett. Fetzer and Barrett, career academicians and longtime radio-show personalities, in the past hosted a radio show called “The Dynamic Duo.” Click to Order It all comes from that day, 22 November 1963, at 12:30 PM in Dallas. From that day we got Oklahoma City, we got 9/11 and Afghanistan and Iraq. From that day we get this day, today — our world, our lives — whatever is yet to come in Syria, Iran, perhaps even WWIII. We can choose to watch it unfold on TV, or we can do something. For years and years, Fetzer and Barrett have done everything they can. This new book is a biography of Jim Fetzer and Kevin Barrett. But it is also a call to resistance: Stop the wars End the empire Help the poor Legal Pot Soars to 58%
Don't they know it makes God angry? Link Gallup is reporting a shift of 10 points in American attitudes toward marijuana legalization in the past year alone, with even older citizens warming up to the idea of replacing government pot bans with state regulation and taxation. But what some marijuana advocates are calling a major tipping point in favor of pot legalization may not fully reflect how Americans feel about pot shops in their neighborhoods, or about marijuana smoke wafting over backyard fences. Gallup says 58 percent now support full marijuana legalization – a major shift from the 48 percent who supported it when Washington State and Colorado voters legalized pot last November. And while Americans who are 65 and older, the people who could benefit from pot the most, still on the whole oppose legalization, Gallup reports a 16-point swing toward lawful pot with old people in the past three years. Younger Americans want full legalization, Gallup found. The poll underscores a pivotal time for a movement whose goals not long ago seemed impossible, given America’s strong evangelical streak and traditional hardon to destroy anyone who likes a different high than they do. Yet even in liberal Denver, local politi-whores are pushing back against the open smoking of marijuana, and smaller towns are declaring they have no interest in seeing pot shops opening anywhere close to schools or quaint neighborhoods. Don't be stupid. If you're OK with beer at the ball park, you should have no problem with the "open smoking" of pot. And guess what? Nobody wants to give your precious kids their expensive stash. Once it's fully legal, there's no financial incentive for drug dealers to recruit new customers. But why let science and logic interfere when you can use fear and superstition, instead? Last thing - do you want proof that thre anti-pot forces are lying? Twenty states how have semi-legal pot, and those states either have MORE or FEWER problems because of pot OR their level of problems hasn't changed because of pot. so why can't we get some answers on that? We must assume crime and DWIs and spousal abouse goes DOWN in pot states because if it hadn't, the anri-pot forces would br braying like asses about the "massive" increase in crimes - which - simply hasn't happened in legal-pot states. When one side is afraid of the facts coming to light, you belong on the other side of the argument. Because Boston is ten times the market St Louis is. Did you watch the Dodger/Cardinal games? Before every game, the studio gang and announcers would all agree (except for Pedro Martinez) that the lowly Cardinals had no chance against the mighty Dodgers, and that's because there's 25M people in Southern California and maybe 1 million in St Louis. I figured that out watching Razorback football. The annouvers ALWAYS root for the other team because Arkansas will always have fewer fans than anyone they're playing, so the talking heads talk about how great the other guys are, even when the Razorbacks are winning. BTW, one of these phoney comparsons said Boston and St Louis TIED for "Best Baseball Town." Really? St Louis is second in attendence (only behind NFL-starved Los Angeles) and Boston, with TEN TIMES the population of St Louis, came in eighth. I would't call that a tie. Oh well, if America wasn't full of media whores, I'd probably still be back at the car lot. Update: Yes, Boston won Game One and they could swep the series, BUT, the Cardinals beat the "unbeatable" Dodgers 9-0 in their last game so hang on.

Link Send e-mail to Bart Under Bush, GOP Vigorously Defended Health Care Glitches Link Not only was Bush’s rollout “anything but smooth,” but administration officials had “some trouble getting the [online] tool up and running” and had to delay its debut for weeks. Computer glitches caused low-income beneficiaries to go without needed medications and sent pharmacies the wrong drug information. Some of the very same Republicans who are lashing out against Obamacare, like Joe Barton, gave the Bush bastards a pass and urged Americans not to pre-judge such a complicated process. REP. JOE BARTON (R-TX): “This is a huge undertaking and there are going to be glitches. My goal is the same as yours: Get rid of the glitches. The committee will work closely with yourself and Dr. Mark McClellan at CMS to get problems noticed and solved.” [Barton Statement via Archive.org, 2/15/2006] Leave it to our Democrats to fail to list these facts.
