Crooked JPMorgan Settles They stole millions of homes from millions of families by a lying slut named Danielle Douglas Link The Justice Department scored a colossal victory Tuesday in its record $13 billion settlement with JPMorgan Chase, and some communities devastated by the housing crisis could also walk away with a big win. The landmark agreement, which resolves a myriad of government probes into the bank’s crooked dealings, carves out $4 billion to help struggling homeowners and neighborhoods riddled with abandoned or foreclosed houses. First of all, we know how that idiot Erioc Holder "settles" things on Wall STreet. For every dollar you steal, you have to pay back a dime and nobody goes to jail, guaranteeing that the crimes will comtinue. Second, JPMorgan set aside $25B to pay this "setlement" so Holder gave them a $13B gift. Everybody should be angry as fuck over this but the American whore media is too busy squawking about what a "great victory" this is for the incompetent Holder. How fucked is Eric Holder? 3,200 (Mostly Blacks) Serving Life Without Parole for Nonviolent Crimes One guy got life in prison for stealing a $159 jacket Link A shocking new study by the ACLU has found that more than 3,200 people nationwide are serving life terms without parole for nonviolent offenses. Of those prisoners, 80 percent are behind bars for drug-related convictions. Sixty-five percent are African-American, 18 percent are white, and 16 percent are Latino — evidence of what the ACLU calls "extreme racial disparities." The crimes that led to life sentences include stealing gas from a truck, shoplifting, possessing a crack pipe, facilitating a $10 sale of marijuana, and attempting to cash a stolen check. Our pledge of allegiance is a fucking joke. "Liberty and justice for all?" Not with Eric Holder in charge. If you steal gas from a truck, you get life in prison under Eric Holder. If you steal a trillion dollars and put 20,000 homeless families out in the street, you pay a dime-on-the-dollar fine and keep stealing, with Holder's permission. Advertise on bartcop.com Subject: How do Republicans do this? Please tell us how Republicans justify opposing issues that are overwhelmingly supported by America. 60% Republicans (73% all Americans) support gay employment rights; GOP politicians oppose gay rights legislation. 86% Republicans (87% all Americans) support immigration reform; GOP politicians oppose immigration reform. 81% Republicans (81% all Americans) support Background checks; all GOP politicians voted against Background Checks. 58% Republicans (76% all Americans) support $9 minimum wage; GOP politicians oppose $9 minimum wage. Obviously Republicans do not care what America wants. Why? This arrogant ignorant unpatriotic attitude is endemic to Republicans. Real true honest democracy is anathema to Republicans. David W I'd say they do it because they can. As long as Democrats are afraid to call them on it, they'll continue to do whatever they want. Democrats have been scared little bunnies for decades.* They are afraid of their own f-ing shadows so when a Rethug says "Boo!" they wet themselves. * Except Hillary She's not perfect, but she's damn sure not afraid of the GOP. Whore Court: TX Abortion Law OK Stock in coathanger makers soaring Link A sharply divided Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed Texas to continue enforcing abortion restrictions that opponents say have led more than a third of the state’s clinics to stop providing abortions. The justices voted 5 to 4 to let poor women seek back-alley abortions that could kill them. The court’s crooked conservatives refused the plea of several Texas abortion clinics to overturn a preliminary federal appeals court ruling that allowed the provision to take effect. The four liberal justices dissented. The case remains on appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, in New Orleans. That court is expected to hear arguments in January, and the law will remain in effect at least until then. So, if you're 15 and find yourself pregnant, and you can't tell your parents because they are religiously insane, you have no options at all, besides the back-alley butcher with the coathanger. Will Texas Democrats use this issue to rally women voters and turn Texas blue? Or are Texas Republicans afraid to list the goddamn facts like national Democrats? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Spelling? Bart, you recently wrote: >Should you be writing about politics if you can't spell Hillary's name? Image you complaining about someone’s spelling… I know you work fast and can’t be bothered with a spell checker and we’re OK with that but it doesn’t give you a whole lot of credibility when commenting on others writers misspellings. Peace & Love Dennis in DC The short answer is fuck you, I don't need your stamp of credibility. The longer, more diplomatic answer goes like this: Sure, we all make mistakes, but if you get angry and type "Fcuk you, ashhole" you're going to look stupid. If one thinks Hillary is really "destroying America," one should spell her name correctly. Send e-mail to Bart Only

Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: other sites I contribute to Hey Bart - Since I'm now an Emeritus Prof. (i.e., retired), my income, although predictable, isn't too great. So, I'm very selective the organizations which I toss something to every month; the short list below are the ones I send some $$. If you see any organizations that are deserving of support that I've missed, please tell me. 1. Truth-out.org (http://truth-out.org/); they also link to Buzzflash and other excellent sites 2. Stop the Drug War (http://stopthedrugwar.org/) 3. Marijuana Policy Project (MPP; http://mpp.org/) 4. ACLU (duh) 5. And, of course, you and your individual effort. If you know of an organization who does important work and is really hurting, I'd like to know. I can't promise how much I can do, but what am I going to do with the small amount of discretionary funds I have? Leave it to my heirs?! Hahahaha! Howard Off the top of my head, I'd say nothing is more important than the global warming problem but I'm not sure who'd be the best to send money to. If you asked Mrs. Bart, she'd say "Save the endangered animals" which gets back to global warming. Who out there knows of a website or organization that needs more funding? Send e-mail to Bart Just Fix the Damn Web Site And the Politics Will Solve Itself by Gene Lyons Link Bad news for CLNN: the Chicken Little News Network (that is, just about all of them lately). In states that have set up their own Affordable Care Act marketplaces, enrollment is proceeding apace. Indeed, media melodrama about “Obama’s Katrina” and similar formulations appears paradoxically to have reminded people that dependable health insurance is at last available to them and their families. Not only doesn’t the political sky seem to be falling, but according to the Los Angeles Times, signups in California during the first two weeks of November doubled those for the month of October. Several other states are also showing strong enrollment growth. The governors of Washington, Connecticut and Kentucky co-signed a Washington Post column about how they’re making the law work. The indispensible Kevin Drum draws a preliminary conclusion: “It really is all about the website… The bottom line is the Republican Party’s worst nightmare: Once Obamacare has been up and running for a while, it’s going to be pretty popular. “Just get the damn website working.” They say California has successfully signed up over 30,000 people. Why not use that template for all fifty states? Are there NO Democrats with half a brain? Why can't Democrats think? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: California pot Hey Bart - The growers in the Emerald Triangle, where most of Cali's weed comes from, do not want pot to be legal. Ironically, they now make so much money off of it that to make it legal would bankrupt them. Prop 19 in 2010 would've allowed regular people to grow up to 5 plants in their home, but the growers campaigned hard against it by claiming Big Pharma was footing the bill for the proposition. In reality, it would've put the illegal pot economy out of business. In other words, the very same people who have fought the law for decades are now upholding the law because it benefits them. J Drawz I fail to see how that makes sense. There are farmers who make fifty cents a pound growing corn, soybeans, etc, so how does a pot farmer go broke growing weeds that sell for $2000 a pound? Send e-mail to Bart Quotes "Note to Republicans: Repealing Obamacare Is Murder." -- Rude Pundit, Link Send e-mail to Bart GOPer Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Rep. Trey Radel gets probation because he's white Link U.S. Rep. Trey Radel pleaded guilty today to one count of misdemeanor cocaine possession. The Florida Republican was sentenced to one year of probation because he's white. Radel was charged after allegedly buying a small amount of the drug in an October sting. The 37-year-old rights-denier made the purchase in Washington on October 29, in a sting that stemmed from a broader FBI/DEA investigation of a drug trafficking organization in Washington. The targets were dealers and high-level people in the organization, not buyers and users. But a dealer arrested last month told federal agents that one of his customers was a congressman. Damn, what's the world coming to when you can't trust your coke dealer? Send e-mail to Bart Subject: I feel for the President but let's face
it
Hey Barto ! I feel for the president, I really do……BUT let’s face it – somebody let him down – BIG TIME The website – hey it’s the government – Firms that hire multi-million dollar consultants have had similar roll-outs. However, given the target on the Affordable Care Act’s back, his Chief of Staff, should have put the brightest people on it. And this loop-hole that the BIG FAT CORPORATE GIANT insurance companies jumped on by canceling policies – SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE PRESIDENT SHOULD HAVE KNOWN and / or FIXED IT. OBAMA got the law passed – The details; such as this one; is the biggest Fuck up to happen in his presidency – and frankly I blame the entire the entire dam West Wing! How could they all let the PRESIDENT say “If you like your plan, you can keep it” without making sure it was true.???? Hillary 2016; Michelle 2024; Chelsea 2032; Malia 2040; Natasha 2048 Cooper Maybe the bigger problem is the liberal/Democratic mentality. This stupid health care law is 3200 f-ing pages. I guarantee they could've written it in ten pages, but noooooooooooooo. That's not how Democrats think. If they had only made it ten pages, there would be no room to include a tax on tanning beds. Yes, that's out Democrats trying to f-ing think again. It's like Democrats WANT to fuck up - they try so hard at it. They could do things simple and easy, but that's just not their way. They have to complicate things beyond comprehension and they do it every time. As far as “If you like your plan, you can keep it” that's just more idiotic Democrat thinking. Why, why, why did they make your current insurance illegal? There was NO REASON to do that, other than it gives them another chance to fuck things up. It makes no fucking sense, but that's our idiotic Democrats. If there was ANYWHERE else to go, I would've gone there decades ago. Send e-mail to Bart In Florida, you shoot and kill a Black kid and they don't even arrest you. But if you point a gun at a white woman, THAT'S a crime.

Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Colorado and 15% THC Bart, that is nonsense about the 15% THC content. The only thing in the rules that refers to THC content is that a packaged edible cannot contain more than 100mg of THC. It would be almost impossible to comply with or enforce. Gas Chromatography is as much of an art as a science, I talked to the guy in Denver whose company does it. Anyone can read the rules on the Colorado Dept of Revenue’s MED website. Colorado Bill Authentic Cannabis Grower I don't think selling weaker pot to the public will work. If we had a party, let's say, no doubt there would be locals attending. Odds are they would have the good stuff, so why would we buy from the state? I found this while searching for an answer: Colorado will rewrite pot rules by Dec. 28 Link The state agency charged with policing medical-marijuana dispensaries is preparing a broad rewrite of its rules for the businesses, just as the state begins to contemplate regulation for recreational-marijuana stores. The Department of Revenue's Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division promises to release a draft of the rewritten rules by Dec. 28. "Based on industry feedback, and its own experience, the MMED has determined that the majority of the existing medical marijuana rules ... are in need of amendment," the announcement states. I guess we should hope Repuiblicans are the ones writing the new rules. Democrats would no doubt fuck things up beyond recognition. Why can't Democrats think? Send e-mail to Bart ACA Still More Popular than GOP
Link There’s not much good news for Obama and his signature legislative achievement in a new poll. Only 33 percent approve of the way the law is being implemented, with 63 percent disapproving. The 40 percent approving of the law itself is just 2 points shy of Obama's 42 percent approval rating, just as the 57 percent who disapprove of the law is just 2 percent higher than the 55 percent who disapprove of Obama. Less than 50 percent polled said the president was a strong leader, trustworthy, understanding or a strong manager. The only good news is that a majority of Americans, 52 percent, believe that the president said what he believed was true when he promised that people who like their insurance plans can keep them. But why did he make shitty insurance illegal? It makes no sense and nobody's asking that question. If Obama had used his head (Why can't Democrats think?) he would've left shitty insurance alone and then all they could bitch about was the slow sign-up.
