Subject: Driving Miss Hillary
Okay, as someone with an English degree, I always try to approach this sort of thing from the angle
of literary interpretation. Rather than going with our first, knee-jerk, ignorant assumptions,
let's actually look at the picture.
Obama as Hillary's driver:
In Driving Miss Daisy, the black man serves as the white woman's driver.
What does a driver do?
He takes her where she wants to go.
In the movie, though, he's also her friend
and a source of emotional support.
So how does driving her around town turn into a racial insult?
Let's also look at the other element in the picture: a Wal-Mart bag full of food items. Wal-Mart represents
corporate greed, corporate irresponsibility. Donors to political campaigns who purchase influence.
What's in the Wal-Mart bag? Food items that are most associated with "natural" or "progressive"
elements in society: Terra chips and Tazo tea.
Progressive ideas in corporate trappings? Or corporate trappings hidden behind progressive ideas?
So, here's my interpretation of what the person who made picture is saying:
Hillary is ultimately
going to use Obama's progressive mantle to cover her corporate trappings,
thereby allowing him
to take her where she wants to go--the White House. I think this is no more
than a rather snarky
hint toward a Clinton/Obama ticket in 2008.
I need a hobby, I guess.

Sarah, that was over my head, but thanks.
