"Change means a president who will stand up
for choice, who understands that five men
on the Supreme Court don't know better than
women and their families and their doctors
about what's best for their health.
That's why I will never back down from defending a
woman's right to choose."
-- Obama in South Florida,
Link
He's saying the right things but he's saying them the wrong way.
People are stupid and voters are extra super-stupid. He
needs to say,
"If McCain wins, you women will lose your
right to have an abortion.
If McCain wins, Jim Inhofe will decide
what your reproductive rights are."
If McCain wins, Sarah Palin will force
you to have your rapist's baby."
Obama needs to hit voters in the face with a 2 x 4 if he wants
to be understood.
It's as tho Obama watched Kerry's 2004 speeches and is trying
to imitate him.
NOBODY responds to that Harvard-speak but intelligent people
and Obama already has that demographic sewed up.

Where's
all the White Women at?
by Mark Morford
Link
Excerpt:
Every white woman I know is positively horrified.
Wait, that's not exactly true. It's more accurate
to say that every thoughtful or liberal or intuitive
or open-minded white woman I know worth her
vagina monologue and her self-determination and
two centuries of nonstop striving for equal rights
and sexual freedom and exhaustive patriarchal
unshackling is right now openly horrified, appalled at
what the addition of shrill PTA hockey-mom Sarah
Palin seems to have done for the soggy,
comatose McCain campaign -- that is, make it
not merely remotely interesting and melodramatic,
but aggressively hostile to, well, to all intelligent
women everywhere.
I saw a depressing item in the news - up to 33%
of white Democrats harbor negative views
toward blacks - many calling them "lazy," "violent" or responsible
for their own troubles.
Let's hope it's just another lie fabricated by the WaHoPo.

John McCain's
Hot Air
Is he Green, or Pissquik in disguise?
Link
Excerpt:
Few politicians in history have more successfully
sold a phony image about caring for the environment
than Sen. John McCain. His deceptions and distortions
and lies would fill a book.
The facts are clear. All you have to do is look
at his voting record. It reveals that McCain has long been
one of the strongest opponents of clean energy
in Congress, with a record matching that of James
Inhofe,
the most hardcore global-warming, screw-the-environment,
anti-science son-of-a-bitch in the Senate.
Republicans like to brag that they are more pro-business than the Democrats,
but when Wall Street melts down or the nation starts to lean towards
being more Green,
they suddenly jump up and claim they're for tighter financial regulations
and cleaner air.
...and the helpless Democrats stand there - stunned as always.
It would be soooo easy to get 100 clips of McCain saying
things like,
"We just need for Washington to get out of
the way so businesses can make
an honest profit with out the big boot
of the feds on their throat," but nooooooooooo.
They can't do that because they can't think.
Jon Stewart can do it, but the DNC?
Not a chance.

Subject: McCain is disabled
He gets a check every month. He earned it the
hard way. He has a rich wife that he got
through charm and luck. He spends his money on
expensive shoes. Good for him, what ever
turns you on. My problem comes when he
asks me for help (yes, the same is true of Mrs. Clinton
and to a lesser degree with Mr. Obama).
I was taught that if you are doing pretty good
sharing was a good way of showing people
you care about them. Paying your own way and
not accepting rewards you don't need,
especially when they are desperately needed by
people all around you. I'm not against
money and the making of it, but taking what you
don't need from a program that others
do need and it often takes years for an application
to be approved seems selfish to me.
The fact that Obama and Biden are not multi-millionaires
speaks to their priorities in life.
Yes, I'm bitching because I'm going to have to
face Social Security Disability hell soon.
And there are lots of vets like me being shuffled
from one program to another and never
reaching Truman's desk.
Biden is right. Rich people should be proud to
pay taxes to the country that gave them the
opportunity to get rich. It is a patriotic act,
like voting and serving in the military or the peace corp.
McCain doesn't seem to even see people like me.
We need to nail this and keep fighting all the
way to after breakfast Jan 20th, 2009.

"The American people must be assured that the

First, there must be no blank check when American
taxpayers are on the hook for this much money.
Second, taxpayers shouldn't be spending a

Third, taxpayers should be protected and should
be able to recoup this investment.
Fourth, this plan has to help homeowners stay
in their homes.
Fifth, this is a global crisis, and the United
States must insist that other nations join us
in helping secure the financial
markets.
Sixth, we need to start putting in place the
rules of the road I've been calling for
for years to prevent this from

Subject: Obama's Rope-a-Dope
Bart, here's my hope:
Obama's letting the Palin hype play itself out.
He's assessing the fallout of the recent nationalisation
of bank debts, watching McCain mouth off,
and waiting to kick his old man ass in the debates.
He did it with the nomination speech - he'd waited
and waited, like Ali against Foreman, and when
the time was right and the crowd was whipped
up into the appropriate frenzy, he pounced and
kicked that old man's ass in front of 84,000
people.
He's biding time - waiting for the media to flummox
itself with these stupid stories, playing cool
until the 3 kill moments: the debates.
I think Obama will win - and he'll hit hard at the right time.
It's not just the weight of the punch, it's when
you land it that matters most.
Keep Swingin,
DT
I sincerely hope that I'm forced to write an "I was wrong" column
the day after the election.
Since I've been doing this page, I've never wanted to be proven wrong
more than on this.
I would love to read 300 e-mails that say, "Bart,
you're an idiot - you were wrong!
All these months you've been predicting disaster
but Obama knew what he was doing."
That would be a great present for me, for America and the world.
Please God (just kidding) let me be underestimating Obama's chances.

al Qaeda HAS CHOSEN not to attack us for the last seven years.

They could do that once a day for a year, crashing trucks into

How is masturbating to Gitmo torture videos making us safer?

Subject: The Palin mystique
Hey Bart,
I've been watching the hoopla about Palin and
she's nothing new to me.
I've spent 30 years working at a small airplane
manufacturing company
here in Washington and I've seen her type many
times before.
Totally incompetent and unburdened by any introspection.
A shameless self-promoter who has no skills or
abilities but succeeds
solely because she pushes herself relentlessly
upon upper managers.
One who never looks back because then she'd see
the wreckage of her bad decisions.
When they face a true crisis, they rely on the
"workers" to bail their asses out because
they have no idea what to do. Then take all the
credit. Been there, seen it too many times.
I can't wait for the debates because she might
be shown for the total fraud she is.
Keep the faith,
Steve

Debate Rules
Changed for Palin
She needs training wheels to be president?
Link
Excerpt:
The three presidential debates between Obama
and McCain will be free-flowing and loose.
But the debate between Palin and Biden will go
by different rules at the insistence of the McCain camp.
Apparently it will have shorter question-and-answer
segments than those for the presidential nominees.
There will also be much less opportunity for
free-wheeling, direct exchanges between the running mates.
What a joke.
First we have three straight weeks of what has
amounted to basically a media blackout of this woman
and now she is going to be protected during the
debate as well? What a farce.
What simple-minded individuals are falling for
this?
First, the tighter rules wouldn't be in effect unless Biden agreed to
it.
If Palin refuses to debate like an aduilt, then we'll make that her
primaru identifier,
that she's not ready to play in the big leagues and her refusal to
debate proves she's not ready.
But Democrats can't think - so Biden caved in to help the
Republicans get past this crisis.
Thanks, Joe.
As far as Obama in the BIG debates, they're going to debate like men
- which is what I've been
asking for - so the question changes to will Obama challenge
McCain on his lies and flip-flops?
Obama was smart enough to insist on real ammunition, but will he fire
his guns?
I don't remember a debate where Obama ever took off the gloves. Every
debate I saw,
he looked like he just wanted to the debate to be over, he really never
said much.
Maybe his staff will tell him he needs a knockout to win. It
doesn't have to be
the first debate, but Obama has to do something in these debates besides
"survive."
I think he's gotta smack McCain and make him look stupid.
There are a hundred ways to do it - McCain is guilty of so much.
If Obama wasn't such a nice guy, he might be talked into baiting McCain's
temper.
If McCain has a "F You, nigger" moment
in front of a national TV audience,
we'd call that a "game breaker," ...but Obama would never agree to
a temper ambush.
I think it's McCain's race to win and Obama DOES need a knockout.
I hope I'm wrong.

Obama Unharmed
by Rabid Chihuahua Attack
Link
Excerpt:
During a campaign event over the weekend, Barack
Obama found himself distracted by an odd tugging
at his pant leg. He looked down and discovered
a tiny chihuahua ferociously chewing on his ankle.
Instinctively, his aides rushed in to whisk the
Senator off to the nearest emergency room, but in the end
this proved to be necessary. For all its growling
and gnashing of teeth, the animal had failed to break
the skin. As a matter of fact, Obama suffered
no discernible injury whatsoever other than an uncomfortable
moist and slightly sticky sensation. He was so
nonchalant about the so-called attack that he didn't even
bother to remove the thing as it continued to
munch on him.

Religio-Child-Rape Bust

Excerpt:
Six minors have been placed in state custody
after a raid on a ministry run by a man
who says "consent is puberty" when it comes to
sex, officials said Sunday.
ha ha
I'm a comedian and I'd never say that!
The children will be in the custody of the Arkansas
Department of Human Services
as investigators interview them, state police
spokesman Bill Sadler said in a statement.
Sadler didn't say how long the interviews would
last, but did say that courts would decide
the children's status in the event of any "long-term
separation" from the property of the
Tony Alamo Christian Ministries in rural Fouke.
He did not say how old the children were, but
an e-mail that authorities inadvertently
sent to media members last week referred to 12,
13 and 14-year-old girls.
So, Tony thinks "consent is puberty?"
When he gets to prison, I guess "whimper" is
going to mean, "Do it to me harder."
Again and again we see evidence that men might
join or form a religious cult as a way
to cope with their sexual aberations, and shouldn't
something like that be looked at?
Wild Guess:
A 12 year-old Catholic boy realizes he doesn't like girls.
Since a wife and a marriage and 2.5 kids and a dog and a picket fence
is something he
has no use for, isn't it logical that he might look at something like
organized celibacy?
Why else would priests, clergymen and Republicans turn to sex with kids?

You younger kids need to take note of this historical toon.
It's true, Gingrich sent a memo telling every GOP handjob

First, they wet themselves in fear, naturally.
That goes without saying - that's standard procedure..
Then they let Gingrich's goons smear them and
