Quotes

"Barack Obama is closing the deal in this election and America is closing the door on the
last eight years of failed Republican policies. The American people have now seen what
both tickets are offering four times, and the choice could not be more clear: Barack Obama
offers the steady leadership we need and more and more Americans agree with every passing day."
     -- Hillary,     Link

I forget - are we angry with Hillary because she won't go away
or are we angry because she's not doing more rallies for Obama?

Undecideds Laughing At McCain

 Link

 Excerpt:
In politics it is not a good sign when voters are laughing at you, not with you. And by the end of that
last debate, the undecided voters who had gathered in Denver for Stan Greenberg's focus group were
"audibly snickering" at McCain's grimaces, eye-bulging, and repeated references to "Joe the Plumber."

The group of 50 uncommitted voters should have at least been receptive to McCain - Republicans and
Independents outnumbered Democrats in the group by almost 4 to 1, and they started the evening with
much warmer responses to McCain than to Obama. But by the time it was all over, so few of them had
declared their support for McCain that there weren't enough for Greenberg to separate them into a
post-debate focus group. Meanwhile, the Obama supporters had to assemble in two different rooms
to keep their discussion groups manageable.

If they somehow declare McWeenie the winner on Nov 4th,
Bush is going to need more than the National Guard to calm America.

 Quotes

"Government's got plenty of money.  It's a matter of how
government prioritizes the expenditures of those public dollars."
      -- Sarah Palin,    Link

I know - let's spend 2 billion a week for eight years to steal Iraq's oil for the Bush bastards.
Then we'll give Wall Street a trillion dollars so they can lend it back to us at a profit.
Then we can give BIG OIL another trillion dollars so they can raise the price od gasoline

But the old, the sick and the poor?
Fuck 'em - we got ours, they can get theirs the same way.

Sarah's right - it's all about how you spend it.

What Is McCain's Problem?
  by Joe Conason

 Link

 Excerpt:
'I'm not Bush', the latest gambit tried out by McCain onstage and in a new commercial, is not a strategy.
(And it is altogether too vulnerable to rebuttal, as the new Obama ad proves with the opponent's own utterance.)
"Obama knows Bill Ayers" was not a strategy either, although it has been substituted for one over the past
few weeks, nor was the variation of "Obama lied about knowing Bill Ayers." Complaining about ACORN's
bad voter registrations? That's a tactic, too, and not a very effective one. McCain's exaggerated debate
warning about the "fabric of democracy" was feeble substandard demagogy, and fell flat instantly.
A campaign is bereft of ideas when the candidate mindlessly repeats charges that are obviously backfiring.

 Subject: Obamomentum

Bart, he's going to take NY, MI, PA & NJ without even blinking an eye.
You can hold your breath for VA, but I wouldn't place any bets on it.
My internal clock says it could go either way right now.
I ain't gonna call VA until the last minute.

OH and FL will be cheated to the GOP, as their cheating henchmen are already in place.
And if you think GA is going Dem, give me some of what you're smoking cause it must be
good for you to imagine that GA will vote Dem.

Whatever it is, I just hope it goes well with my pain meds.

Sodomy and gratitude
 by Mark Morford

 Link

 Excerpt:
Can you sense it? Do you feel the deep tingle? Because amid the fiscal meltdown and Obama's stunning
poll numbers and the stress of the election, this staggering fact: George W. Bush is nearly done. He will soon
be gone forever, America's most spectacularly incompetent footnote, the oily residue left on the pavement
after his administration's giant Hummer of ineptitude is finally hauled to the crusher...

Get ready to pray. To Shiva, to Shakti, to Astarte and Allah and Buddha and Jesus and the Great Mother
and whatever divine energy you like that the Dems don't completely botch it, get just as power-drunk and
monomaniacal as their GOP counterparts, and squander what's shaping up to be an astonishing opportunity
to reshape the American experiment.

Fact: the neocons and the evangelicals had a stranglehold on the U.S. government for six solid years,
and they very nearly destroyed the country. The good news is, there is nowhere for the Dems to go but up.
They can't possibly do worse. The bad news is, even with a brilliant, steady, unflappable President Obama
at the helm, they could sure as hell try.

Subject: Dump Sarah Palin from Saturday's SNL

Respectfully, you must be out of your f-ing mind to book that nazi asshole to host the show
this close to the most important election in recent memory.  Why give the fascists a last minute
opportunity to look cool and try to turn things around?

If you must go through with it, I suggest either
(1) postpone the show until the Sat. after the election, or
(2) at least make her speechify in the original German.

 Quotes

"The real winner in last night's debate was Joe the Plumber.
Joe's the man. He won, and small businesses won across America."
      -- Grumpy McNasty

Hey John, is there anything you can't get wrong?
His name's not Joe and he's not even a plumber.

Joe the Plumber is a fraud

 Link

 Excerpt:
It turns out "Joe the Plumber" has a different first name and no plumber's license, owes
back taxes to the state of Ohio and would likely get a tax cut under President Obama's plan.
Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, 34, retreated inside his house after being besieged by the whore press.

Wurzelbacher told the Whore AP he does not make more than $200,000 a year - the threshold for
a tax increase under Obama's plan. But he said he still objected to Obama's thinking behind the tax hike.
"It's not right for someone to decide you made too much - that you've done too good and now we're
going to take some of it back," he said.

"It is utterly bizarre that McCain chose this guy as the poster child, because this guy would get a tax cut
under Obama, and wouldn't under McCain," says William Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center.

Here we go again - another idiot who's begging to pay more taxes because "it's not right"
for the super-rich to pay more than the super-poor. Wish I had a bridge to sell this guy.

Morons like this would be angry if they won a million dollars because
he'd have to pay maybe $300,000 in taxes on his unexpected windfall.
I, for one, would love to pay $300,000 in taxes.

What fun is it to be super-rich if the super-poor aren't paying enough taxes?

Obama surge gives McCain the jitters

 Link

 Excerpt:
Obama is drawing up plans for an audacious final push deep into the Republican heartland to force
Grumpy to spend valuable time and money defending states that were not considered potentially
vulnerable even a few weeks ago.

McCain faces an electoral map today with a harsh reality: he must now win virtually all of the eight
"toss-up states" on election night to eke out victory.  The man with Obamomentum is riding a surge
courtesy of voter concern over the economy and needs to win only one to enter the White House.

GOP Fundraiser = Dirty Crook

 Link

 Excerpt:
Henry Waxman presented documents to the Pentagon on Thursday alleging that a top Republican
fund-raiser, Harry Sargeant III, has made tens of millions of dollars in profits over the last four years
because his contracting company vastly overcharged for deliveries of fuel to American air bases in Iraq.

Waxman uses emails, company documents, Pentagon reports and other information to make the case
that Sargeant repeatedly received fuel contracts even though he was never the lowest bidder for the work.
In one case, Sargeant's company was actually the highest of six bids but received the contract anyway.

Republican warmongers raping the Treasury for billions off Bush's phony war?
Who'd believe that?

Of course, nothing will come of this, besides Waxman sending a very stern letter to the White House
asking for an explanation.  The Bush bastards will read his letter, laugh, then throw it away.

Evil, murderous sons of bitches don't care about letters.
They respect force - that's all.

Too bad the Democrats don't have any.

Subject: Forget Ayers - McCain Transition Chief Lobbied for Saddam

McCain has been making a big deal about Obama and Ayers, but look who McCain's
transition chief is. Huffington Post reports, "William Timmons,  the Washington lobbyist
who John McCain has named to head his presidential transition team, aided an influence
effort on behalf of  Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime."

Does America need a Saddam lobbyist to transition from Bush to McCain?
That's not change I can believe in.

 Quotes

"The Secret Service is in dangerous territory here. In cooperation with the Palin campaign,
they've started preventing reporters from leaving the press section to interview people in
the crowd. This is a serious violation of their duty -- protecting the protectee -- and gets into
assisting with the political aspirations of the candidate. It also often makes it impossible for
reporters to get into the crowd to question the people who say vulgar things."
       --  Dana Milbank,      Link

I believe you can ask a judge to rule that being kidnapped by the Secret Service (OJ was just
convicted of kidnapping the same way) is illegal and must be stopped immediately.

The Bush bastards did the same thing - arresting people for wearing an anti-Bush t-shirt.
YOU CAN'T DO THAT, but if nobody complains, those crimes will continue.

Bullies and evil sons of bitches will continue their crimes until somebody stops them.
Why do some people think criminals will stop committing crimes on their own?

Socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez mocked Der Monkey as a "comrade" today,
saying he was a hard-line leftist for his intervention of major private banks in the US. financial crisis.

Chavez ridiculed Bush for his plan for the Federal Government to take equity in American banks
despite the US right-wing's criticism of Venezuelan nationalisations.

"Bush is to the left of me now," Mr Chavez told an audience.
"Comrade Bush announced he will buy shares in private banks."

"Fred Barnes, Bill Kristol, these are the people, folks, who told us that McCain was
the best chance Republicans had way back when. The Fox All-Stars were talking about

25 years later, bombing in Beirut still resonates

 Link

 Excerpt:
Sgt. Stephen Russell was sitting in his guard booth outside a barracks in Beirut.
He says he heard something snap behind him and a diesel engine revving.

He turned.

What he saw was the future, coming straight at him, in the form of a 5-ton truck.
It was Oct. 23, 1983, a day Ronald Reagan called the saddest of his presidency, maybe his life.

The truck would shatter the Marines' building with a bomb more powerful than 12,000 pounds
of TNT - the biggest non-nuclear explosion since World War II, the FBI concluded.

It would kill 241 servicemembers, including 220 Marines - the Corps' bloodiest day since Iwo Jima.
It would drive the U.S. out of Lebanon and lead some, including Osama bin Laden,
to conclude that when America gets its nose bloodied, it pulls back.

They hardly ever put the truth in print - I wonder why they did it this time?

The American whore press would have you believe Bill Clinton showed the terrorists that
America will always run from a fight, but they learned that lesson from Ronald Reagan.

What they always leave out is that Reagan insisted those Marines be housed on land even after
the Joint Chiefs told him ships would be safer because the Lebanon suicide bombers hadn't yet
learned how to make a truck fly - so suicide bombs would only work on land, but Reagan insisted.

So we lost 241 Marines that day, because Reagan was too stubborn to trust his generals,
but since the media wants their Reagan myth preserved, they leave some important facts out.
Also, they fail to mention that a few years later, Reagan gave these terrorists weapons.
Yes, after they murdered 241 Marines, Reagan and Bush did business with them, just like
Bush did business with Saddam, Noriega and the Mullahs in Iran.

History won't remember the global crimes that Reagan and Bush committed,
but they'll remember who Monica was because that's important.

Iraq pumped 3.5M  barrels daily before Bush invaded
and then they got their big Halliburton upgrades

Bush is stealing up to 6 million barrels of oil per day.
Since oil has sold for $125 or more per barrel,
Bush is stealing $750,000,000 every day.

No wonder they were so eager to start a war,
It's the biggest theft in Earth's history but
our whore media is too busy to investigate.

4,184 brave men and women,
will never come home...

...all because of Bush's oil greed

Why are we there?
Because Iraq's oil wells have NO METERS!

Where's all that oil money going?
