"In 2008, younger voters wanted somebody who was going to fight against the status quo, and I don't think that Obama has done that. To say I feel disappointment is within the context that I know he's very intelligent, very capable, very compassionate. I think he has the tools, and he does not trust his instincts in how to apply them." -- Shepard Fairey, who created the Hope poster for the 2008 Obama campaign, on Obama's failure to wake up and come to work Link Bartcop's Worldwide Computer Repair We fix broken computers. Subject: Health Care Law begins to take effect This week was a big week for the Democrats as their health care law began to take effect. Health coverage cannot be arbitrarily canceled if you become sick. Children cannot be denied coverage because of a preexisting condition. Children up to age 26 can stay on their parents' health plan. Health insurance cannot cannot put a lifetime limit on health care coverage. Democrats are running on a records of accomplishment while Republicans are running to repeal these benefits. They want to put the insurance company profits ahead of health care for the people. This election season is about the people vs. the corporations and this week the people are winning. "A reason to run is if nobody else were to step up with the solutions that are needed to get the economy back on the right track and to be so committed to our national security that they are going to do all that they can, including fighting those on the extreme left who seem to want to dismantle some of our national security tools that we have in place. If nobody else wanted to step up... I would offer myself up in the name of service to the public." -- The Publicity Whore, volunteering to be crucified all the way to the White House, Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: gays are so powerful... Hey Bart, you published: > Gays are the most powerful beings to ever walk the Earth; > by simply existing they can destroy the marriages of people they never met, > they can destroy the morale of the world's only military super-power, > they're so powerful, ...they can destroy civilization, itself." Don't forget, gays also are responsible for hurricanes, floods and tornados. And if it weren't for the gays in this country 9-11 would never have happened. So don't piss us off. Clint Send e-mail to Bart Quotes "Despite doing everything she can to appeal to the conservative base Palin is polling no better, and often worse, than Romney, Huckabee and Gingrich. She came fifth in the Values Voters Summit straw poll, winning just 7% of the votes cast. If Palin really were the undisputed front-runner we'd expect her to enjoy a lead in the polls right now. At this stage of the cycle one thing is clear: she's no Hillary Clinton. If she is the front-runner she might be the weakest GOP front-runner since Gerald Ford." -- Alex Massie, Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Sharon Angle is winning Hey Bart, Nut job Sharron Angle is about to win here in Nevada. Her win would be a disaster and a huge victory for the Tea Party and the big money behind it. Harry Reid is a pathetic campaigner and a weak leader, but Angle makes Palin look rational. I notice you pointed out the hypocrisy of Joe Miller, but he has nothing on Angle. The most open secret about her is that Sharron Angle lives off her husband's federal pension. Sharron Angle has made the cornerstone of her campaign that too many people are dependent on government. She wants to dismantle social security, medicare and she ridiculed those on unemployment as lazy, despite the Nevada's devastating record unemployment. Angle has received nothing but fawning press from the Fox like local media. This Tea Party hero has a paycheck and medical care for life, all provided by Uncle Sam, aka , the taxpayer. Please help. Bart. I enjoy it when you say, "Maybe the president will decide to come to work" and you have been saying this for months. I always enjoy that comment and it's sad, but true. I wish he would show up for work, but, I see that is not going to happen. We will, in just two short years, be saddled with these miserable Republicans...Again. I can't decide whether I should scream or cry. Thanks for all you do! Nancy At this point, deciding to come to work would be too little, too late. Because Obama couldn't be bothered, we're going to go back in time. He's thrown away the last two years but there's still hope for his presidency. ...if someone can convince him to get in the game. Quotes "When we invaded Iraq, we invited the UK to come fight with us. We invited France. We invited Germany. Every one of those armies had openly gay soldiers in the military. The only other country that didn’t, besides us, was the Iraqi army." -- Seth MacFarlane, Link So why wasn't it bad for our soldiers to be mixed up with a bunch oif fags? Why can they fight alongside Brit and Frenchie gays, but not American gays? Send e-mail to Bart Volcano Talk Click to Order “Mike Palecek reminds me of Socrates the gadfly who asked unwelcome questions, Diogenes with his lantern looking in vain for an honest man, Chekhov the man with the hammer challenging the complacent family to share their meal, Kerouac the ever on the move, somewhat hysterical searcher, and he reminds me of many Americans who as children were so blasted with propaganda that they’re devoting the rest of their lives to challenging the lies and all who tell them. In this land where babies are brought by storks and buildings collapse due to unpatriotic bricks, we need the gadfly because no leader, preacher, guru, or saint will wake us up, though the Doomsday clock is ticking close to twelve.”— David Ray, American poet, author of “The Endless Search” and “The Death of Sardanapalus and Other Poems of the Iraq Wars” Look for bartcop Note: If you sign up,
DODT Quotes Last issue on the issue of "Don'task, don't tell" I requested: > If I got my facts wrong, write & straighten me out, "Now, when Colin Powell sold me on 'don't ask, don't tell,' here's what he said it would be: Gay service members would never get in trouble for going to gay bars, marching in gay rights parades, as long as they weren't in uniform. That was what they were promised. That's a very different 'don't ask, don't tell' than we got." -- Big Bog's version, Link If his version is correct, why are the gays angry that Clinton "sold them out?" Here's another nugget: Clinton also said he agreed to the policy because otherwise Congress would have passed an absolute ban on gays in the military. So, if Clinton's telling the truth, where's the sell-out? Send e-mail to Bart The

My 5 year old Dell laptop had the usual signs of slowness-long waits for pages to load; slow start up time; ridiculous amounts of time wasted for pages to click, etc. In 2 hours, your tech Jordon cleaned up my files, deleted 1000's of unnecessary cookies, removed 10 viruses, freed up some memory and installed new anti-virus software. I enjoyed the convenience of Bart Cop Computer Repair coming to my house (via that series of tubes, the Internets). It was fun to watch Jordon manipulate the mouse around my screen as he navigated through all the functions of computer clean up. I would liken the whole process to an electronic laxative: He flushed out all the constipation and now everything is free flowing. I am glad that I could support you and his business. Keep hammering! Subject: Too late for Obama Bart, in your talk about Reid and Pelosi's pollution of the health care bill, you wound up saying, "We're not totally screwed - not yet. There's always a chance Obama will decide to come to work at some point in the future. Let's hope that happens." It is too late. At the start of his term, Obama had political capital. He blew it all. Perhaps he blew it in the name of saving the economy - the bailouts. That the bailouts appear to be working is a good thing. But it means there's nothing left over for health care, jobs or other important things. Seems to me the big difference between Obama and Franklin Roosevelt was that FDR found a way to replenish his political capital. His "Fireside Chat" radio speeches laid out his hopes, dreams and plans before the entire nation. He spoke in clear, understandable words and got his message across. Obama might give speeches like that, but only at those Little League games you mentioned. Not before the entire nation, but only for photo op sessions. The rest of us weren't invited. Granted, with hundreds of cable networks - some of whom, like Fox and CBN, which are in the pocket of the right wing - it's not as easy to get the entire nation to listen to you. But it isn't impossible. All it would need was for Obama to have a message, and to stick to that message. I remember (God help me) when Nixon was running in 1968. He kept repeating the phrase "a generation of peace." How much of that he really meant, I leave it up to others to decide. But the message got across. Couldn't Obama have said, "We'll help you when you're sick" and stick to that message, broken-record style? Now, I can see Obama playing defense (maybe defense of his life, not just his office) from 2010 until he loses the Presidency to some buttwipe like Newt Gingrich. Tom Reed I agree, Obama has run out of time. His refusal to come to work has cost him and his party dearly and he STILL doesn't seem to get it. And you come back rapping on our door, hat in hand, and you say, 'Baby, I know you love me. But if we get back together, I pledge to you, I will still try to fuck your sister every chance I get.'" -- Jon Stewart on the GOP's Pledge to America Send e-mail to Bart Dems fold in record time Link Send e-mail to Bart Subject: DADT and Clinton Bart, your memory is right. Before Clinton the military was openly hostile to even of whiff of homosexuality. DADT was a compromise that was better for the gays in the military than court martial for even an accusation. It was the Republicans though that forced the timetable in 1993. They saw a chance to hurt Clinton early and attacked. DADT was a stepping stone toward openly homosexuality that we want now. Too many now seem to have forgotten it was worse before. Ole zenferret. So why do gays hate Clinton so much? Send e-mail to Bart You can select a monthly plan to provide
