http://romneytheliar.blogspot.com Perkel, Pelosi and the Church of
Reality
Dear Church of Reality Members, I have been actively opposing legislation in the US congress called SOPA. This bill is aimed at stopping piracy but not only won't it work but it will break the Internet. It is important that this bill be stopped. To that end I had a meeting 2 days ago with former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who wasn't that thrilled with SOPA and she thought it wouldn't pass. However she said that she considered piracy to be a big problem and that something needed to be done about it. In response I mentioned that I had produced a lot of intellectual property (software) and I understood the problem. I told her that if she helped kill SOPA that I would write a technical specification and a plan for an alternative that would avtually work without breaking the Internet. So - keeping my end of the bargain - I have written an alternative specification that changes the paradigm of how movies and music is sold. I'm going to email this to her staff and hopefully be able to meet with Senator Boxer as well sometime soon. Here is a link to my idea. I need two things. I need some feedback as to how it might be improved, and I need this link posted to blogs everywhere that deals with this issue. So if you all can help spread the word that would be great. The Internet is the most significant step in human evolution on thousand of year. Maybe the biggest evolutionary jump ever. It directly affects what we are going to evolve into. That's what makes this so important. So - thanks in advance for helping save the future of humanity. Marc Perkel First One Church of Reality "Saving the future from short sighted stupid people" Send e-mail to Bart Obama will outsmart his critics by Andrew Sullivan
Link There have been many times when I have disagreed with decisions Obama has made—to drop the Bowles-Simpson debt commission, to ignore the war crimes of the recent past, and to launch a war in Libya without Congress’s sanction, to cite three. But given the enormity of what he inherited, and given what he explicitly promised, it remains simply a fact that Obama has delivered in a way that the unhinged right and purist left have yet to understand or absorb. Their short-term outbursts have missed Obama’s long game—and why his reelection remains, in my view, as essential for this country’s future as his original election in 2008. What matters to Obama is what he can get done, not what he can immediately take credit for. And so I railed against him for dragging his feet on gay issues. But what he was doing was getting his Republican defense secretary and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to move before he did. The man who made the case for repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” was, in the end, Adm. Mike Mullen. This took time—as did his painstaking change in the rule barring HIV-positive immigrants and tourists —but the slow and deliberate and unprovocative manner in which it was accomplished made the changes more durable. Not for the first time, I realized that to understand Obama, you have to take the long view. Because he does. I like that, now and then, people point out Obama's positives. Send e-mail to Bart Perry: Bain may be Willard's 'fatal flaw' Rats are not a
problem for Willard?
Link Rick Perry calls Willard Romney's work at Bain Capital a potentially "fatal flaw" which could imperil Republican chances to win back the White House in November. Perry spent the week attacking Romney as a "vulture capitalist," whose work at Bain allowed him to reap huge profits by dismantling companies and laying off workers. Perry's criticism has sparked a backlash by some prominent Republicans. Rudy Giuliani (R-9-11) denounced the attacks as "ignorant and dumb." Sean Hannity compared them to the rhetoric of Occupy Wall Street. And Jim DeMint (R-Handjob) warned that Perry's charge "really gives the Democrats a lot of fodder." Perry says he has no regrets. "This is not something that we knew wasn't coming up," Perry said cryptically on "This Whore with Judas Maximus." "It's better to be talking about it here in January in South Carolina than it is in September and October with a nominee. So if it's a fatal flaw, then we need to talk about it now." Race card helps Gingrich They f-ing hate Blacks in South Carolina... Link "So here's my point," Gingrich concluded. "I believe every American of every background has been endowed by their creator with the right to pursue happiness. And if that makes liberals unhappy, I'm going to continue to find ways to help poor people learn how to get a job, learn how to get a better job, and learn someday to own the job." It was time for a commercial, but as Fox News' Bret Baier tried to preview the next segment, he could barely be heard above the roar of the all-white crowd, shouting its praise for Gingrich. "When we come back -- they can't hear me, but I'll talk to you -- foreign policy," Baier said. It was a moment that will likely be debated and discussed for some time: a black journalist (sic) being booed by a white audience in a deep South state on Martin Luther King Day, as a white candidate for president talked about the work ethic in low-income, majority black neighborhoods. It's hard to imagine a more charged few minutes in public life in recent memory. If Snooty wins South Carolina by rallying the Whites against the Blacks, that should be helpful to Obama with non-racist Americans in November. Send e-mail to Bart Subject: Bullying laws Ever notice that in EVERY state where anti-bullying legislation has been introduced it is ALWAYS the Republicans who oppose it? Wiseguy Good point. They

The debate over Tim Tebow's
worthiness as an NFL quarterback will undeniably continue in the
offseason.
What's not in doubt is his status as the Denver Broncos' starter. The team sought to curb the circus that's sure to surround Tebow over the next several months by declaring him the incumbent at a season-ending news conference Monday. "Well, I think Tim's earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year," Broncos boss John Elway said during a news conference in which 24 of the 47 questions were about Tebow. "I think he made some good strides this year," Elway said. "He obviously played very well against Pittsburgh and played very well in a lot of football games." And exceedingly poorly in plenty of others. Related: Tim Tebow is Jewish Link Send e-mail to Bart See

Why do people lie to pollsters? CNN just said a new poll shows congress has an approval rating of 11% while 88% of people said that congress is doing a really bad job. Yet those same people are going to vote to re-elect their idiotic representative/senator who they admit is doing a really bad job. So, why do people lie to pollsters? fired him for being anti-war
when he was their top-rated program Link From the early 1970s to 1985, The Phil Donahue Show was broadcast nationally. In July 2002, MSNBC hired him to host a talk show, which hyped the return of Donahue. However, eight months later during the run-up to war with Iraq, behind-the-scenes pressure from the Bush bastards — and a groundswell of conservative outrage — led MSNBC to give the anti-war TV talk-show host the boot. It mattered little that Donahue had won nine Daytime Emmys and a Lifetime Achievement Emmy. MSNBC claimed Donahue’s ratings were too low to justify keeping the show on the air, even though Donahue was the highest rated show on MSNBC it was canceled and beat out Chris Matthews‘s Hardball, which was then on CNBC. After Donahue was cancelled, AllYourTV.com obtained a copy of an internal NBC memo that stated Donahue should be fired because he would be a “difficult public face for NBC in a time of war.” So, sanity had to be silenced so the FOX News crazies could chant "We need war, we need war!" If you remember, FOX News and the Clear Channel Pigbots were holding "We're going to war" rallies, as tho that was a good thing. I remember comparing it to early scenes in Gone With the Wind. Ten years later we have 6,000 dead and 40,000 maimed - but that's OK. As long as the Bush bastards got to steal Saddam's oil, America's whore media was willing to help put those soldiers into Arlington graves - because it meant higher ratings for them. I suspect that you are gay and being such, your opinions, thankfully, do not mirror the mainstream populace. Also, YOU may prefer little-girl-like shaved vaginas, I prefer "grown" women. Go away! Dr. John Carter Dr. Carter, I assume you're a licensed psychiatrist? (chortle) Yes, Laura and I dated briefly in the early nineties. She eventually rejected me and I never got over it - so that's why I hate her. The fact that she screams "Slut!" at every unmarried caller with a boyfriend has nothing to do with my 1998 decision to expose her personal sexual hypocrisy. BTW, how could I be gay and have a feminine side? And if I'm gay (with a femine side) why would I prefer unshaved women? You make the Middle Eastern nuts seem sane.
