"With their protest against the Clint Eastwood commercial, the GOP is now against jobs, unity, and Dirty Harry? Weird." -- Rude Pundit, in a tweet Send e-mail to Bart Obama's High-Tech Labor Lies David
Sirota really hates our president
Link After the New York Times’ article on Apple’s Chinese production facilities reignited a national discussion about offshore outsourcing, President Obama was confronted during a Google+ “hang out” about why during a brutal unemployment crisis his administration continues to support expanding the H-1B visa program that allows tech companies to annually import thousands of low-wage engineers from abroad. In his stunning answer, the president first expresses bewilderment that any American high-tech engineer could be out of work, because he says that “what industry tells me is that they don’t have enough (domestic) highly skilled engineers” and that “the word that we’re getting is that somebody (a domestic engineer) in a high-tech field should be able to find something right away.” He then goes on to insist that the H-1B program is “reserved only for those companies who say they cannot find somebody in (a) particular field” and that it shouldn’t apply to industries where “there are a lot of highly skilled American workers” looking for a job because he says his administration is focused on “encourag(ing) more American engineers to be placed” in open positions. Obama showed himself to be either wholly ignorant of the reality facing high-tech workers today, or simply willing to echo the self-serving lies of his high-tech CEO friends. Whichever it is, the president’s claims are clearly at odds with the basic facts of the high-tech labor market. Sirota is so quick to assign sinister motives to the man he worked so hard to elect. The way I read it, Obama was quoting what industry leaders have told him. Does that make Obama a liar? Send e-mail to Bart Old McCain Slams Willard Says he needs to act "more humane" Link Sen. John McCain (R-Senile.) criticized Willard Romney's "self-deportation" immigration policy, stating he should adopt a "very humane approach" to immigration in order to secure Latino voters. McCain, who does not support the Dream Act, said that Republicans should address the problems posed by border insecurity, but also must consider the human side to the issue of the country's 12 million undocumented immigrants, as well as the impact that aggressive reform policies may have on the party's ability to win over voters. "It has to be a very humane approach to this issue, and we have to come up with solutions to it," said McCain. "But we also have to do something about the drugs that are coming across our southern border that are killing our kids." McCain expressed a similar sentiment in December, warning that states with large Hispanic populations like Arizona and New Mexico could be "up for grabs." When asked by Univision's Jorge Ramos if "self-deportation" is humane, McCain replied, "No. I think there are some people who want to leave this country and return to the country they came from, but obviously it requires a broader solution that that, and we all know that." Does McCain have Willard Romney's flip-flop disease? Last I heard, Old Man McCain was blaming Latinos for global warming, Arizona wild fires and rainy Mondays. Seeing the ads puts

Can the GOP really be this stupid? Link
Republican moron John Fleming of Louisiana has made himself the target of online ridicule after confusing a spoof article about Planned Parenthood as a factual news report. The Onion's headlin said, "Planned Parenthood Opens $8 Billion Abortionplex." The Onion is a satirical news organization, which makes up fake stories to fool the extra-stupid. The fake article opens with: "Planned Parenthood announced Tuesday the grand opening of its long-planned $8 billion Abortionplex, a sprawling abortion facility that will allow them to terminate unborn lives with an efficiency never before thought possible." However, the Onion's mission statement apparently was not explained to Rep. Fleming, who took to Facebook to whine: "More on Planned Parenthood. Abortion by the wholesale." The post has since been removed from Fleming's Facebook page, but it was captured.

Cali Gay marriage BAN Struck Down
Now the Supreme Neocons can Kill it 5-4 Link The 9th Circuit Court in California struck down the state's voter-passed ban on gay marriage, ruling 2-1 that it violates the rights of gay Californians. "Proposition 8 serves no purpose, and has no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California, and to officially reclassify their relationships and families as inferior to those of opposite-sex couples," Judge Reinhardt wrote in the decision. The Court concludes that the law violates the 14th Amendment rights of gay couples to equal protection under the law. Gay marriage will still not be allowed in the state, leaving time for Prop 8 defenders to challenge the decision. Well, that makes sense. When in doubt, always go with whatever will do the most harm to the most people. Who gets hurt of gays can marry? Nobody. Who gets hurt if they CAN'T marry? Just the gays, and they're used to getting screwed. Bart, Although Kryten is more charismatic than Romney, there is some robotic resemblance. Pat in Pleasant Hill, Ca Send e-mail to Bart Obama's finance "flip-flop" They should be knocking this out of the park Link When the Supreme Court ruled in 2010 that private organizations, including corporations and unions, could spend unlimited amounts of money on political speech, President Obama decried the decision, warning that it amounted to a "threat to our democracy." That's true and he said it because it's true. Or maybe we want Shedlon Adelson picking our president each time? Two years later, the Obama campaign has announced that with the president's blessing, it will support a pro-Obama super PAC--a creation of that very ruling--to received unlimited donations from individuals, corporations and unions for the 2012 presidential campaign. "We made a decision, announced last night, that we're not going to allow for two sets of rules this election," a senior campaign official said. "A half billion dollars spent against the president's re-election by GOP super PACs is not something that we take lightly, and it ultimately led to our decision that we're not going to unilaterally disarm in this fight. Our message remains the same in terms of the type of things we're fighting for." "The president did sign off on this decision," the official, who asked to remain anonymous, said. Somehow, the GOP has gotten every news channel I've heard frame this as, "Obama's flip-flop." but who thinks we can fight effectively if they're the only ones who can raise money wholesale? The problem is, that paragraph in bold reads like John Kerry wrote it. Obama's people tend to talk like they're on Harvard's debate team. This White House hasn't yet figured out that more stupid people vote. There aren't enough smart people to get to 55 million votes. The White House needs someone who speaks "normal" on their team.
