Let's expose and decry yet another Republican juggernaut against women.
Bubba's elitism was in full view when he gave his assessment of a recent Mississippi anti-abortion law
that effectively disenfranchises lower income women from pregnancy termination. Describing those
who rallied against the law, Bubba said of his opponents, "They're like, 'Well, the poor pitiful women
that can't afford to go out of state are just going to start doing them at home with a coat hanger'."
Bubba, by the way, is Republican state Rep. Bubba Carpenter.
And in truth, of course, Bubba has no pity for those women, or ostensibly for any women.
I would pity is poor wife, but pity is wasted on such as they. She chose him; she'll have to
stew in those juices. Unfortunately, so will the women of Mississippi.
This stuff kils me.
Women are the majority of voters and they voted to deny themselves rights?
If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.

In just in his first Mayoral run — Booker’s committees received more than $565,000 from the
people he was defending. At least $36,000 of that came from folks at Bain, Romney’s old firm.

The Zombie Conspiracy Can’t Be Killed

Like the monster at the end of a horror movie, birtherism refuses to stay down, no matter how
many times it’s left for dead. It has been over a year since the White House tried to shove a
long-form stake through the heart of the conspiracy, and yet some Republican politicians continue
to offer fodder for the fringe which refuses to accept that Obama is the legitimate president.
TPM’s Nick Martin has been closely following Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett’s recent
adventures in birther-mongering. Bennett, the man in charge of running Arizona’s elections,
threatened last week to keep Obama off the state’s ballots in November. Bennett’s shenanigans
followed the lead of The Pink Panty Sheriff, Joe Arpaio, who earlier this year announced that
members of a special posse had determined that Obama’s birth certificate was a fraud. (Arpaio saw
Bennett’s move this week and raised him an absurdity by dispatching a deputy from his “threats unit”
to Hawaii as part of his probe.)

I was unpleasantly surprised.
*I* do not have that ad up - Google does.

More Solar, Not Less

If you listen only to the propaganda machine of the Koch Brothers, the power companies
and the "clean coal" industry, solar power is only desirable to a white rich ex-hippie with
a Malibu beach house.
Their latest tactic is to paint local clean energy, such as rooftop solar, as an elitist energy
source that low-income Californians and people of color are subsidizing.
I have an idea: Stop talking about it and ACT.
I don't know the numbers but if solar panels cost $10,000 to install
and if they can cut your electric bill in half, it would pay for itself in 6-7 years
but then we'd have half-price electricty for the rest of our lives.
Why isn't Obama doing something about this?
Why isn't he offering a $5,000 tax credit for people who invest in solar?
In twenty years, Democrats will STILL be talking about "the promise" of solar energy
instead of getting off their asses right f-ing now and making something happen.
Democrats - we talk a lot, but that's all it is - talk.

While some of the burglars rifled through DNC files and photographed documents,
McCord tested the bugs on the two phones. His little pocket receiver showed that they worked.
The choice of the two phones has never been fully explained. O’Brien’s might seem obvious since
he was party chairman, while Oliver was a well-placed insider in Democratic politics, though little
known to the general public.
Some aficionados of the Watergate mystery have speculated that Oliver’s phone was chosen because
his father worked with Robert R. Mullen whose Washington-based public relations firm had employed Hunt.
The firm also served as a CIA front in the 1960s and early 1970s, and did work for industrialist Howard
Hughes, who, in turn, had questionable financial ties to Nixon’s brother, Donald.
Because Oliver’s father also represented Hughes, one theory held that Nixon’s team wanted to know
what derogatory information the Democrats might possess about money to Nixon’s brother from Hughes,
evidence that might be sprung during the fall campaign.
Years ago I listened to G Gordon Liddy's radio show.
He swears everyone has it all wrong, that the real purpose of Watergate
was to steal evidence that Maureen Dean, John's wife, was a hooker.

a $500,000 fine for following Montana's pot laws to the letter.
He did NOT count on Obama waging a jihad against his legal business
that was helping sick people.
So, what's the lesson here - don't follow the law?
Maybe second-term Obama will help overturn the craziness of first-term Obama.
