One of the problems with nuclear power is that whenever there is an accident there is
always a cover up. They always downplay the risks and the health effects on the public
and the environment.
So when we hear information about how serious the leaking radiation is the answer is
always the same, "Don't worry, be happy". So if they say everything is cool it's as if
they have said nothing at all. They might be telling the truth or they might not be.
But as far as relying on what the government and industry are saying it is as if they
said nothing. They lie so much you can neither believe or disbelieve them on face value.

No, I don't.
They do a lot of good and they help a lot of desperate girls and women
when they have no place else to turn so I'm all for that.
As always, the Rethugs are lying. We have a budget crunch, so they go after
the pennies that support the weakest of us instead of the wasted, Fat-Cat $100 bills.
It's like a family budget - the family is going broke and Dad says we kids have to
cut back on our school lunch budget but he's still taking his bi-weekly trips to
Vegas to snort cocaine off the asses of hookers.
We have a budget problem because GE pays no taxes.
We have a budget problem because Exxon pays no taxes.
We have a budget problem because the Koch brothers pay no taxes.
We have a budget problem because the super-rich pay no taxes.
I'm thinking about a new t-shirt:

I listened to your show, 166 or 167, regarding rape victims aboard a ship with a foreign flag.
This has been going on forever in the shipping business to avoid liability for oil spills etc. Here's an example:

This woman worked on a Disney cruise out of Los Angeles.
Odds are she was raped and when she threatened to tell, they threw her overboard.
Now it's up to some clowns in the Bahamas to get justice for her family?
This happens because cruise line owners paid our crooked congress to allow them
to fly some bullshit flag so they can avoid paying taxes like GE avoids paying them.
Instead of raping the poor, why don't we make the super-rich pay taxes?
Carnival Cruise Lines made $11B last year - and paid NO American income paxes.
Cruise Rape - it's legal because rapists and congress want it that way.

Bart, that's Dwight D. Eisenhower with Mamie Doud (soon to be Eisenhower).
Ike had just graduated from West Point and was stationed as a second lieutenant
in Texas when he met her. They were married the next year. The picture is taken
on the steps of St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas, in 1916.
In that one you can definitely see our president's face buried in the
kisser of that smarmy young officer!
