I have been reading BartCop for years. I have it bookmarked. I too, started reading it during the Bush years. It was and still is one of the few sites still swinging the hammer. I am sorry he struggled at the end. May his journey be restful and peaceful.

I read Bartcop religiously for a few years recently. I've been working hard lately and just looked at the web site on a whim (it used to be such a habit).

I made a donation for the benfit of Mrs. Bart. Again, very sorry.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Bart's passing. I understood his viewpoint and was almost always on all fours with his opinions. He gave it straight up, not pulling punches for anyone. I gave him a hard tome for not using "North" and lumping both of the Carolinas into one. When NC went of Obama in 2008, Bart relented and acknowledged NC. He was a special guy, and somehow, Bartcop must live on in some form. Condolences to Mrs. Bart and although I'm forbidden to drink Tequila (a long story for another time and place) I will toss back a shot or two in his honor. Adios, Bart. Since we won't see you any longer in this world, we'll see you in the next one and won't be late.
