kali yuga - I was not on Bart's side with respect to the NSA/Snowden issue either. But, I appreciated how Bart took a stand on issues and allowed others who didn't agree with him to have their say on his site. Besides, I agreed with him 90% plus of the time and I certainly didn't hold the Snowden thing against him. Bart was his own man-as genuine and honest as anyone you can ever name. He was my compass for many, many years and I will never stop missing him. He was the real deal.

Bart's defense of NSA spying (as long as Clinton/Obama Democrats were doing it) was shameful, and his disingenuous slandering of anyone who tried to defend Snowden was shameful. But, then, intellectual honesty was not Bartcop.com's strongpoint-- the graphics were the best reason to look at the site, and they will be missed.

I just read a story about how the feds are now going to approve a research study to see if pot can help vets with PTSD. Took over 22 years to get it approved. The first person I thought of when I read the story was bart. I am glad he got his trip to denver. This is historic news and I am so sad that bart isn't here to celebrate with a fattie.

I started reading Bart's page in the beginning of 2001 and got conquered by your shrewd and humorous comments. You showed that truth is important no matter what place in the world you live in. Bart, your vision gave strength to many people round the world. And will inspire people in the future.

Bart...How I will miss your insightful opinions laced with wit that would have mad H.L. Mencken proud. Many times I wished that you either chaired the DNC or were a valued voice in it. You never minced words and always made my day. Thanks and a shot of tequila in your honor!

Bart lives on through his radio shows - now free from Marc Perkel. I greatly enjoyed listening to them yesterday and so wish I had known of Bart in the early years of "W". What a contribution Bart was to life. Compare him to the now croaking Fred Phelps. No contest there!

Bart was one of the people who got me through the Bush years -- a voice of sanity in an utterly insane environment. I didn't always agree with Bart, but I always enjoyed his commentary. He will be missed!

When I was a young and dumb libertarian Bartcop set me right. Rest in peace.
